I got an email from a customer yesterday. The letter is below
You sold the same "Lombok Carving Person Thinking" etc. to me as you sold "******"!! I did not get the item I purchased -- what item will "+++++++" get? You told me that you sent an e-mail message that you did not send. Your listing indicated that there was 0NE (1) such item (both times). How many more times will you try and sell this same item? "Products may very in color, but nothing drastic." (Look up very and vary and you might just get your language correct) Do you think the diference between 5 inches in height and 13 5/8 inches is a difference in color? I bid on this piece because it was small. I have other larger pieces. For $1.99 FRAUD comes awfully cheap! Maybe that's exactly what canada-kicks-butt means -- fraud at a very cheap price. By the way, Lombok is EAST of Bali. I suppose to folks involved in fraud it makes little difference where Lombok is.
Ok that's the letter , this was the only email i got from him. Now he has contacted the other seller of the other auction the following week later. On the same item and basically told them that he was not happy with the purchase and to be careful. He also stated some nasty comments about my country but , they have little point to post???
Now, in my auction of the product i never stated they were one of a kind. And i sold them one at a time with the hope they would sell for more. I emailed the guy and asked him to be nice and email me with any problems he might have. He chose to email my other customer and has not emailed me back ...What can i do?????

Your whole post is confusing. Did the bidder bid on the "small" one, and get a "big" one instead?
"Now he has contacted the other seller of the other auction on the same item and basically told them that he was not happy with the purchase and to be careful. "
Did you mean he contacted the other buyer?
And...if he emailed another of your bidders, isn't that considered auction interference? Other Posters....what say ye?
PS What's Canadians got to do with it?
If he is not happy, request return of item, and offer a refund.

You say "He chose to contact another seller a week later"
Do you mean "seller" or "buyer"? Is he going to buy from another seller now? Or is he telling another buyer that your item is the wrong size?

He told the other bidder of the same item a week later that he was not happy with the product???? bidder seller sorry got confused.
Again i really want to point out that i have no problems refunding. The problem , i am having is the bidder contacting another bidder??? And not contacting me to resolve the problem..??? Basically i told the bidder right me a nice letter telling the problem and we can work it out (ie) refund or whatever ...he has chosen not to respond and has emailed another bidder.....
What do i do ????
Contact ebay???? and what would it fall under as???

If you go to this page you will see that it is a buying offense and would be considered auction interference.

I know my eyes are having a hard time reading this board sometimes at night because the print is light but did I just see the poster say he can buy items at .01 ??????? In Canada???????
Is that Canadian money or Indonesian ????
In my opinion East West what is there to work out???? you sent the wrong item,
at a cost of .01 you can afford to send them the right one and have them keep what you sent in error.

First the 1 cent to 1.00 is an example not to be taken to heart ...second as stated serval times before ....i am willing to refund and have NOW!!! ...the issue is the bidder contacting another bidder???
And what i buy for is not the issue , but yes i make a gtood profit margin..but the issue i have a problem with is the contact to the other bidder. the letter and how rude it was and the mistake in the auction is just that a mistake
I mean all he or she had to do was email me and say HAY THIS IS BIGGER THEN I THOUGHT or i think you have your sizes wrong on the auction??

EastWest -
I think what your bidder did was email the other bidder and asked them what they received from you. He/She probably wanted to see if that other bidder had received what she was paying for - a small(5 inch) hand-carved whatever the hell it is. They probably emailed out of curiosity and wanting to see if the same thing happened to the other bidder! Not a great thing to do, but it happens.
I think your bidder is going a little far in calling you a fraud for $1.99 - I think you just need to get a better ruler because there is quite a difference between 5" and 13 5/8".
If it were me and I had made the error I would just chalk this up to a bad learning experience, tell the buyer to keep the big one, and refund all of her money. In meantime, you better contact the other bidder and ask them if they are happy or not and fix their problem too.
Unfortunately we have all made mistakes in our listings somewhere I'm sure. Sometimes you have to pay the price for your error.
Now if you don't want to make a goodwill gesture towards your buyer you can take the other route. Tell her too bad/so sad, give her nothing in return and send [email protected] an email telling them about her auction interference. Then sit back and get ready to be negged by her and possibly the other buyer.
A smart ebay employee may catch the fact you screwed up on the size of the item and tell YOU they can't do a thing for you.
I'm sorry but for the amount of money involved, the fact YOU made a mistake in listing, it just isn't worth the hassle having a coronary about this situation. Send her back her money and be done with her!

If the winning bidder contacted your other bidder and you can prove it, then it's a violation of ebay rules.
ebay will do something about it IF the contacted bidder forwards the email to them with full headers.
ebay will do nothing about it if YOU contact them and claim the bidder is contacting your other bidders but offer no proof. The proof has to come from the bidder who was contacted.
How did YOU find out the other bidder was contacted? Or did you assume they were contacted because the unhappy bidder said they were going to contact your bidders?
