What labels have worked the best for those of you who are using this service? I just signed up today and it doesn't like some of the labels that I have here. Keeps telling me there is not enough space. The only label that seemed to work okay while playing with design was the $42.00 for 500 labels they sell. Has anyone found another label that works just as well? I want to do labels for Bound Printed Matter packages with a return address, recipient address and barcode, small graphic and the Delivery Confirmation. Any good suggestions or should I just go ahead and buy their expensive labels?

I use Endicia and love them. Great service. But you're trying to get a lot on one label. I can easily fit the address/barcode and postage on a 3 1/3 x 4 inch label. I can usually squeeze in the delivery confirmation (the software warns me about space but my post office accepts it). And I use a second small label for my return address (I print those out in bulk).

But if you want everything on one label, just play around with it specifying different size labels (don't actually print anything) to see what works. Then check around to get prices on those particular labels. You might be better off going to a local office supply place to get fewer than 400 to make sure they work.

(By 'play around with it', I mean get the label up on the screen and click-and-hold-and-pull to where you want it.)

Best of luck.

You might try looking on eBay.

I'm using the labels that measure about 4x2", which come on a sheet with 2 labels horizontally and 5 labels vertically. I print the address label on top left label, and the postage on the top right label, then cut that "line" of labels off, and re-insert the sheet back into the printer for the next row of labels to be printed.

I usually use First Class, but if I do happen to be shipping via Priority Mail or Media Mail and want to use Delivery Confirmation, the barcode prints on the second left-hand label. (The components print at the same time, just on different sections of the label sheet -- hope that makes sense!)

I paid $14 for 1,000 of them (Avery equivalent #5163). There were lots of sizes listed at the time I looked, so it wouldn't hurt to do a search and see what you find.
