Hi
I used free listing day two list three cars and I have a buyer inquiring to shipping costs I was wondering if anyone had shipped a car and if so who did you use.
The cars don't run so they can't be driven.

mrspock,
You would need to call a transport company. I don't know if they would take a vehicle that isn't running though.

You should run car auctions that the BUYER is responsible for transporting them and just give a time limit for them to complete the pick-up of them

We have handled a couple of sales where the vehicle was shipped via transport.
Cost was $750-$1,000 from Chicago to the SW area. (AZ) Enclosed trailer, single vehicle.
If you fill an open trailer with 5 cars, the sixth was free.
All shipping arangements should be made by the purchasing party......that releases you from any liability problems.

Although you didn't note the type of car to be shipped, you might try InterCity Lines.

Some of my fellow Mustang enthusiasts have used them with good success to transport their valuable Pony's around the country...

I do not know if this could help you out or not, maybe try calling U Haul or RYDER and ask if someone is going to the same area where the car has to go.
They might be open to tow your car on a dolly for a reasonable fee.

When we moved from CA to AR. we called to see what it would cost to have our car shipped. Would have been around $850.00. Sorry I can't remember the name of the co. we called.
I'd advise looking for car shippers on the internet, or use your phone book for movers....someone should be able to help. But it's not going to be cheap.
If you didn't mention 'buyer pays shipping' in your description, I think I'd email them back and say it would have to be picked up. Or if your auction has no bids....revise it quickly to say that.
Good luck

Hire a driving service. Or hire someone to drive the car one way and pay their airfare home.
Not my name on ebay.

Horseless Carriage is the best car hauler out there, and as a truck driver myself, I would highly reccomend them. They will ship non-running cars. However, I have a sneaking feeling these cars are not exactly the most expensive things in the world, and I would just let the potential bidder deal with transport.
