Does this sound reasonable? She keeps telling me check will be mailed Saturday (which Saturday?) I only have a few days left before I can request FVF.....

On 06/15/2001 you won the auction entitled ************ Our records indicate that we have not received payment for this item in the past 23 days. I did receive an email from you stating that payment would be sent on Saturday (two, in fact). If payment is not received by Wednesday, Jul 11, I must file NPB with Ebay, as they only give me 30 days to request refund of final Value fees. If the payment arrives after I have filed for FVF refund, I will reverse the request. Thank you for your understanding.

If you have not done so already, please send your payment of $14.51 to:

(edited to take out link to auction, and, my mailing address)

experience will tell you if a buyer will send payment or not.
just file your final value refund,if the payment comes, thats great,if not at least you have not lost money.
thats why i dont understand why people are so down on billpoint or paypal, for a small fee,you get the $$ and they get the merchandise.
true there is chargebacks ,one has to build that cost into the merchandise.
i know it is hard to do these days.

"had car accident" paid some, not others! I will wait until Wednesday, cause I already mailed her.....geez, I had to find this out by looking at her feedback. And to top it off, she is no longer a registered user!

You have 45 days after an auction closes to file the FVF alert. I'm not saying I would wait that long but it does give you a little more time.

yumacoot: I am quite sure I have the same deadbeat bidder as you. She seems to have a severe driving problem as her car accidents go back to May. LOL I, too, have been told that her friend will pick up her money orders on Saturday and she'll mail payment then. She is also no longer registered. I am fairly sure that I will not see payment for the low dollar item I sold her and don't intend to put a whole lot of effort into it. I'm sure she deregistered herself in anticipation of the negs to come for all the items she's failed to pay for. Unfortunately, no way now to leave more negs. I'm giving her until the end of the week and then notifying her the auction item is no longer for sale. I think you can write this deadbeat off without dragging the process out.

I think I know this person, too. But, in my case her MOTHER was in a car accident five states away and as a direct result my buyer could no longer balance her checkbook. She bounced at least six checks according to her recent feedback (she is now NARU). Some of the positive feedback she received at the same time was from sellers who left the positive when they received her check and didn't wait to see if it cleared. (I received e-mail from a few.)

These car accidents can be devastating.

Frankly, I'd file the NPB alert now, and then wait the 10 days to file the FVF. If she pays, the NPB won't stay on her record.
