...I ran out of my mailing supplies, and am sitting here biting my nails, hoping my uline delivery shows up TODAY. : - )
I really was pretty encouraged by the results of FLD, and right now I am trying to get my regular auction numbers back up. The BIN sales are looking pretty good, too. There is another thread here about how overall the auction numbers are dropping fast, but in my categories I see plenty of nice offerings [meaning, other copies of what I have to sell! ; - ) ]
I think plenty of folks are still out there bidding and buying, and hope I can be their seller if I can keep enough mailers in the house...

I listed 5 items - cancelled 2, one for pricing mistake and one that I shouldn't have listed at all - but the other 3 did pretty well - I also got paid promptly by all 3 bidders, so I was able to ship ASAP!

Keziak, I also had a great FLD. And ran out of packing peanuts and bubble wrap (big bubble) like you.
Sunday at 7 p.m., after the stores had closed, I resorted to dumpster diving at a mall about 2 miles from my house. This was a first for me! I found lots of peanuts and bubble, plus much more. MY OH MY, what those stores throw away, I couldn't believe it!
The dumpster behind Jo-Ann Fabrics was totally full of patterns. Every kind, from children's to adults, to crafts, to furniture throws, to costumes, in all and every size. All were from the year 2000 and were brand new, uncut with instructions. I could not believe it!!!!! Thought I'd died and gone to eBay heaven!
Needless to say, I loaded up the back of my Jeep and headed home with the biggest smile on my face you've ever seen.
Spouse was not too happy though after looking in the back of the Jeep. Wondered where we were going to store all of them...
Anyone looking for a particular McCall's pattern, free?
Fabric stores throw out old and discontinued patterns monthly - did they have the sleeves or pattern envelope with them? In order to get a credit for the pattern from the pattern company you need to return the envelope (at least you had to). Kind of like when a book store rips the front cover off of books & magazines that don't sell and return them to the publisher for a credit....

Glad your FLD was such a rousing success!
Guess we have the opposite problem on the packing peanuts and bubble wrap scene!!!
We bought >$400 worth (Uline minimum order sizes) so we have enough to get through 2001 and maybe 2002??
FLD was so much fun, Ebay should do it all the time (yeah, right...that's gonna happen)

lab rat: I use www.uline.com
Other companies are probably great, too, but I like uline for being ultra-professional. I call them up, they know who I am from my phone number, my order is taken in seconds.
Right after I posted here, my mailers came, and I got a bunch to the P.O. before the end of the day! Still lots more to go, of course.

I, too, am very happy with the end results of FLD. I had one book that the last time it was listed (by another seller) it closed around $7. Mine sold for $41.01
I also had a couple of nice bidding wars. All in all the sales were good and I am quite happy.
As for the patterns, do you have any for American Girl Doll or Bitty Baby Clothing? I have a friend who makes the clothes. If you have some she doesn't have perhaps we can make a deal - and her birthday present will be bought the easy way
I have gotta start dumpster diving. It sounds like you had sooo much fun

Dumpster diving sounds soooo much fun. I'm going to ask my ISP when I go in tommorrow to pick up something if they throw away things like bubble wrap and peanuts. No dumsters in this area to dive in! boo hoo!
Anyway, this post got me to thinking about my packing supplies, and ACK! I was nearly out of bubble mailers. Had to place a quick order to atyouroffice.com. Bubble wrap was also on sale, so for under $85, I got a $25 cooler (free), 175' of bubble wrap, and 250 padded mailers, plus free shipping.

Hi MrsSantaClaus, yes, I think I have what you're looking for. I have two different patterns for 18 inch dolls, but they do not say they are American Girl. Is that the same? The dolls pictured on the patterns resemble American Girl Dolls, but there is no mention of the name on the envelope.
One is pattern #9207 is dated 1998) that makes six different dresses, from a Brides dress to one with a pinafore to one without pinafore to one with big rounded collar, etc. Includes panties and bloomers. Dresses can be either waisted or empire type.
Other pattern #2061 (is dated 1999) makes a dress, jacket and bonnet, cap, pinafore, apron, and petticoat. All of these dresses are the long style, to the ground. One of the dress styles resembles a Cinderella style, with swag gatherings and bows near the bottom.
I know it is hard to imagine by a description, but if it would help for me to scan them and send you a pic, I will.
On one of the patterns it does say "Sold for individual home use only and not for commerical or manufacturing purposes." So these must be it.

Thanks Keziak.
I thought you were saying "online delivery" and spelled it wrong! Duh! I would like to say I wasn't awake this morning, but that wasn't the case. Its been that way all day long.

However, there is an accessory pattern that makes a satchel (tear drop shaped) one arm sling/backpack thingy, and also a small cell phone carrier that has a strap handle for your wrist, and an over the shoulder (strap) square bag with a built-in cell phone pouch on the front, or just plain without cell phone pouch.
MrsSantaClaus, I'm not familiar with Bitty Baby, but there is a pattern for baby doll clothes to fit dolls from 8 thru 16 inches. Clothes in pattern include dress, bloomers, jumpsuit and shirt, romper, hat, bonnet, mittens and a hooded jumpsuit. If you make the hooded jumpsuit with mittens in a white fur fabric the doll looks just like an Anne Geddes - real cute.
Also have an adorable pattern to make a stick horse head that can be altered to look like a unicorn, Rep-Tar or Triceratops dinosaur.
Plus a pattern for a Time Out doll (3 different styles). And a Bambini pattern to make stuffed animals - frog, polar bear, bunny, shark, lion or lamb. I'm assuming these are Beanie Baby size stuffed animals since each animal takes only 3/8 yd. of fabric and they are filled with poly pellets, rice and fiberfil.
