On another thread titled "Relisting problems" Vargas suggested Vrane. I just had another question or two:

I've checked out vrane, I was thinking of paying to use the Auto Mailer (this would be very helpful also, and the price is good). The site states that you get 100 PRC (Power Relister Credits) free when you buy any other service... 100 relistings would last me quite a while, so I was thinking of paying for the Auto Mailer and getting the 100 free PRC free.
Would this be good, has your experience been good with this service?

Also, the Auto Mailer service lasts for 45 days only, I understand and includes 500 auto emails. Does that mean I can just pay them with PayPal or send them the money before the 45 days is up?

I use Vrane for the relister. I bought 1000 credits that last 1 year. I love its ease to use. I was trying to relist through Ebay and maybe getting 6-10 done per hour. Now I go to Vrane, change the price or whatever else I want to change and relist easily. Last Sunday I relisted 23 auction and it took 114 seconds. Very easy. If you use the relister though, you have to pull up your auctions by your email address with Ebay not your user ID.

We use VRane for all our back office help and recommend them without reservation. You cannot spend your auction money more wisely.

That sounds great, I'll definitely sign up. Anyone have any experience with the Auto Mailer?

The Vrane Power relister looked ideal, but then I looked closer and I noticed that there is no way to modify a BIN price when relisting. Vrane states it just uses the old BIN price before relisting. I often revise my starting prices and BIN prices.

eastwest:

My experience is alot different from yours.

1. If you send him email, he sometimes responds and sometimes doesn't. And it could take days. His first response is its your problem. If enough people complain he posts something on his status board and says he's looking at it. A few more days pass and he gets around to fixing it.

2. The price of his service has climbed faster than eBay, BillPoint and PayPal put together. If you bought in at the beginning, you're OK now, but wait until you try to renew.

3. Relisting is NEVER free. If your item sells, you get your listing fee deducted by eBay. How you list it and whether you use a service or not, doesn't make a difference.

4. Haven't looked at the backend database. With all the bugs of the front end part of his software, I personally wouldn't trust it.

I guess i learned to be flexable

1) I have noticed the problems with the service as well but they are not bugs. Vranes service runs of the HTML OF EBAY. Ebay changes the html around . This makes vranes pages not work..The reason for not changing them fast is really simple . He had it changed one time in two hours . Guess what ebay changed it again. What are we talking about is a button that say enter will be in the center one day then to the left the next day then three spaces over the next day.

2) i use to spend 3 hours a day emailing customer letter of payments...now nothing i just wait for the money to come in from paypal billpoint and money orders

3) I am willing to put up with small problems if they are fixed ...and from what i can see they have been

the auto feedback rocks
email customer totaling sytem rocks

hay if a power seller like one cent cds uses the auto feedback that's got to say somthing about it

all and all i am very happy with my service

ps if he does not mail you back within the day ...why not email again after a day and say vrane this is really important ....can i get an idea of when this will be owrking again ??? works for me ALL THE TIME

Happy user here - great value for the money.

There has been some recent price hikes with the relister. However, he basically shorten the time frame by half in which you can use the credits. Price stays the same.

I think he was priced too low anyway. A penny+ for a relist is about one of the best deal on the net.

Yes, sometimes the service does not work 100%. But, I really think it has to do with ebay changes. I also find ebay changes to affect my programs. Sometimes, I think ebay make these changes for not purpose except to make life difficult for third party services.
By the way, I have yet to find a net service that works 100% of the time.

Regarding Vrane email responses, I perfer companies that does not respond and just fixed the problem ASAP instead of sending us flowery canned emails. Seems like Vrane is a one individual operation. So I can see his lack of customer care in some cases.

Anyway, the relister is a heck of a bargain.

Sorry - I do not use the backroom operations so cannot comment there.
