Is it a good idea to accept a Billpoint payment from someone in Sweden? Just started selling internationally. Any advice is appreciated!

Billpoint is ok, but for overseas sales I find bidpay works great. You get paid by Wells fargo money order, and no worrys about charge backs.

The percentage Billpoint charges is on the TOTAL amount (the sale plus the postage). If whatever you've sold costs a bit to send, the Billpoint fees can eat away at your profits. I've been really happy with Bidpay too.

For overseas BIDPAY is the only way to go, there is NO possibility of a fraudulent chargeback.
(or any chargeback at all for that matter, ho ho)

Does the buyer have to be signed up with Bidpay? Do you send them a form or how does it work? I have only used it once as a buyer.

I have had a couple of buyers get an international money order in US Funds from their local bank. I never had a problem with any of them and it doesn't cost the buyer the fat fee BidPay charges (and, of course, doesn't cost me the Billpoint or Pay Pal charges).
