...in my case, I start to get irritated by constant email from buyers begging, reminding, hectoring, or informing me to leave them Feedback.
Sometimes I email back assuring them that I always do leave FB...not necessarily right away since I do it in batches, but I always do.
Other days, when I'm trying to do 5 things at once, I just get annoyed.
I expect this means I get tired and lose perspective after keeping two children in line, literally, at the crowded post office so I can mail their packages ASAP after getting their payments. I think that's the paramount thing I do to ensure their ebay experience is rewarding, and FB is icing on the cake.
Do you send them an email when you ship? If you do, perhaps you could add some wording to state that "We leave feedback on all our customers. Feedback will be left for you w/in 3 weeks (or whatever interval suits you) after the end of the auction".
If you don't send shipping emails, maybe you could add to your TOS or EOA..assuming anyone ever reads TOS or EOA.

Sounds like a good idea.
For my buyers, I leave feedback when I receive payment. My feedback to them is not based on them leaving me feedback.
When I send a shipping notice (using the excellent services of AuctionWatch), I click the next button in line and add feedback.
I've not had any buyer complaints, but I presume it would wiser to wait until the deal is complete to post for them, but to me it is important to get feedback, so I make sure I give it as soon as I can.

Same here, I leave feedback as soon as I get payment. I actually don't care as much if I get it in return, since I have over 1000+ already. This way, no complaints from buyers (and using the seller assistant program from ebay, it takes about 2 seconds to leave them feedback, maybe even less...

I used to leave feedback as soon as the payment arrived so the customer would know that I had recieved it.I stopped doing that when I got a bad check that took almost 30 days to come back.I had already left feedback, the customer had the item and I had nothing but ebay fees and returned check fees from my bank.I called the customer on the phone and she said she was sorry and would send a money order. Two weeks later I called again, she was still sorry but said it was hard for her to get to the post office for a money order.I then told her I had a friend in her city and if it would make it easier on her my friend could drop by her house and pick up the money. She was polite but said no,she would get a money order off the next day.She did and I finally got paid.I don't know what I would have done had she called my bluff.During all this time she was bidding and winning other auctions and was finally NARUed but had I waited to leave feedback I could have warned other sellers that she was not a good customer.
