I have been reasonably happy with Office 97 Pro that I use every day. Fortune smiled on me today and I got a free factory sealed copy of Office 2000 Small Business.

Is this a worthwhile upgrade for Word/Excel. I have a K6-2 processor at 300 with 64mb. I'm sure there are some nice features, but I wonder if I would notice.

Word and Excel both have improved features in 2000, especially Word.

But it might be problematic on anything less than 128 MB.

seems to me that every time I upgrade a microsoft product I lose more features that I like and find new features not usefull to me
I still miss my win 3.1 cardfile !!!!!!
(not quite enough to go back though)
Spock here....

Get sort of nostalgic for those Win 3.1 GPFs myself

But the error messages have not departed. My all time favorite is the perpetual drone saying this or that application is now closing prematurely and all you can do is click in agreement by pressing "OK" OK? Sorry, but when the last hour's work gets flushed down the cyber toilet it's not OK.
