Where have all the bidders gone?
Long time lacking,
I want to know,
Where have all the bidders gone?
Can some please tell me?
May was the best month I have ever had! June the worst, July following right behind June! So I really want to know......

This year is my first selling on eBay in the summer and it has been a shock. The free listings promo day on Thursday will be my last listings until after Labor Day. My stuff is junque but I still ain't givin' it away.

Guess it depends what you are selling. I've had a good sell-through rate, and good prices on items I am selling (collectibles)

Getting some nice bids right now. Still on average for my usual sell through. Selling about 75% first time and 50% on relist. Some stuff going much higher than expected.

It's summer. The skies are blue. Lot's of folks go off for vacation--and those who don't tend to spend more time outside then inside crouched over their computers.
Some things will keep on selling well--but many other items lose their allure during the summer. Se la vie.

I would guess 75% of my buyers are female in the 30-60 age group. I fit in the same group. Now that school is out, and the kids are home I have little time for anything else but trips to the pool, parks, general entertain them type stuff and I believe my customers are experiencing the same.
Also their money is probably going in the same direction. If I take them to the movies out here; 30.00 and that's for the matinee (sp?). So my extra cash fund is much smaller in the summer.
