I found an item (on eBay) that consistently sells for anywhere between $50-$80 on eBay. The seller is offering a BIN price of $25.00 - must not realize what they have! Should I BIN it and list it myself to resell? Dang! I don't know what to do......

If you think that you could do better with it, go ahead and buy it (unless you can get it elsewhere even cheaper). How much are they asking for shipping? That is part of your purchase price...

What's the hesitation? If I saw something I know would sell for 2-3 times the asking price, I would have already purchased it!

I emailed the seller, and Shipping would be about $3 - actual shipping charge, no handling.
I guess I'm just not used to buying something that expensive, and hoping to make a profit, even though I'm pretty confident it's a sure thing. I've never spent that much on something strictly to resell before!
Besides, I keep thinking something's wrong with it. Even though the answers from the seller all indicate it's alright, as well as the auction description. I haven't checked it since 5:00ish...someone else may have even discovered it and I don't even know it! Yikes - I better check!

One of the first things my Pop taught me about buying and selling, is Real good deals don't last long. Don't spend the rent to buy merchandise, but sometimes you have to dig deep in your wallet to get good deals.
First rule about buying and selling is don't pass up real good deals. I'll borrow money if I have to, to take advantage of a really good deal.
Second rule is once in a while, you make a mistake buying something. As long as you don't do it to often, you'll be ok.
My rule of thumb if I'm feeling unsureif I can make money on a deal (but really think I can), is don't do it, unless I am darn sure I won't lose very much. It's like gambling, minimize your loses, and maximize your gains, and you come out ahead.

There is no problem with taking risks now & then. It is all about how much you are comfortable losing. Same with investing or gambling. Decide on your comfort level ahead of time and stick with it. If you are wrong about this item or unsure of its condition can you afford to eat your expense.

$25?
I bought an item on ebay last week for $300 that I "know" I can resell at a profit of $150 - $200.
You'll never make any real money if you're nervous about a $25 item.

I buy and sell widgets and the pics are VERY important. If the brand is one I'm familiar with, the pic stinks, and the price is low, I've been known to buy it, and resell it with a better pic, and a nice profit.

Oh yeah! I once bought something for $12 from a guy on ebay. The auction looked crappy, the pics looked crappy! Got it home & took some great pics (thanks, Sony!) and made a nice looking professional ad & sold it on ebay for $62. It was worth every penny of it and the consumer was as pleased as could be!
