I was just wondering if how many AW members participated in the Free Listing Day today. I did and as AW suggested I scheduled my stuff to launch earlier then normal hoping it would launch by 7:30 - my normal launch time. Wouldn't you know, they are running on time so all my stuff is listed earlier then I really wanted. Can't win here!

BTW, I launch over my $30.00 limit - about 95 items!

Well whats wrong with the rest of us that don't wish to use c2it , WE AREN"T APPRECIATED ! some of us were there before c2 it came along .

Not me either, I dumped this loser when they demanded a piece of the action. Since removing AWPRO from my hard drive I no longer am plagued with lockups or crashes. Quite a bonus.

I think AW needs to realize that it's not 1999 anymore. Free auction listings if you use (place name of new website here)...
LOL!

I took part in the FLD day! I'm pretty sure that I used up the $30.00 limit. It was nice to have an incentive to really get working & get a lot done. I had everything scheduled to launch early & it was exciting to watch all the work that I had done over the last 3 days come to life. I have lots of bids already too!!!

I participated--though the title of the day was a misnomer in my case. I registered especially for the promotion, since I have not been a customer of AW since they announced fees.

I wanted to participate for several reasons...wanted to find out if the service had improved since the instigation of fees (couldn't notice a difference), wanted to compare listing times with AW versus the new system I've been using (AW took longer), wanted to give C2it a try since PayPal has decided I'm not worthy of a merchant account, and most of all wanted to dig out of the summer listing doldrums. I'd been lagging a bit in my listing.

The listing rebate I'll get won't be a lot of money, but that was not my main reason for doing this. The target date really just gave me a goal to shoot for in pursuing those interests I mentioned above. I accomplished my purposes. And the refund of listing fees will buy dinner at a Ponderosa-level restaurant in six or eight weeks.

To give AW some credit, it was pretty easy to get back into the swing of things. I hadn't listed with them since I think last February and I was able to jump right back in and list with what passes for ease here. I tackled the project with an open mind, and really sort of hoped I'd be impressed, but find I much prefer my "new" method of listing and will go right back to it.

I've already made a couple of BINS and have bids on several items, so at least AW will earn a few sheckels from me!

I participated (there are STILL two hours left!!!) and got a few auctions up.

I use AuctionWatch already for all my listings -- a REAL timesaver from start to finish. Their cut is well worth the service they provide. I use the web-based version to track, upload, and manage my auctions.

I was already signed up for c2it, so that was no problem including them.

In all, it wasn't for everybody. But those who were open to good service or who were already using the service got a big bonus today!

I started to, like psylie, I had not used AW since the fee implementation. I also wanted to see how they are doing (especially since I am an Auction Amigo user). I wanted to give C2it a try.

I actually entered 2 items into the database. Then I kept thinking... .05.. 1%... .05 ..... 1%

So nope. Didn't do it. Not gonna do it. That 1% sticks in my craw for some reason. And the alternative of paying 200.00 yearly (16.67 a month!) just for the priveledge? I will find another good service to use eventually I am sure!

Why do people think that internet businesses should provide everything for FREE?

That business model has FAILED -- haven't you been paying attention the past 12 months as the DotComs became DotGones?

You pay for quality. AW provides quality, so it's worth the VERY SMALL 1% that they take. Well worth it.

I sincerely doubt that most of us think internet service should be provided for free but, for the level of unreliability and lack of customer service here, most of us have become painfully aware that our money is better spent elsewhere. AND, to pay a percentage of sales on top of a fee is absolutely ludacrist in this case!!!

Not meaning to sound rude, but those are the facts.

Sorry, but those aren't the facts for me or for my friends that use AW. I have been with AW for a few years now and have found them to be very reliable and their customer service has been top notch.

I have experienced the odd glitch but that can happen with any service.

Exactly. I've been with them for about six months now and have had one minor glitch of a couple of hours. I asked a question about something else and got a quick response.

I guess my point it directed to those who say they would use the service or any service "if it wasn't for the nickel and 1% cost".

If you don't see a value in their service, then by all means don't pay for it. But if you DO see value in the service, don't expect to get it for free.

I signed up for C2it and took full advantage of FLD. Yikes! If everything I listed sells I am in deep doo doo timewise.

I was pretty angry, though, that AW inserted the ugly (and perhaps technically non-compliant) C2it/AOHellQuickCash logo into all my listings, along with the payment options text. I specifically exclude that from my global preferences cause I would rather do it myself my own way (which I did).

I spent 2 hours last night revising all 30 listings to delete that crud.

If Aw is going to ignore my preferences and insert that logo everytime just because I have c2it checked as a payment option, I will dump c2it just like that ::snapping fingers::. What buyer in their right mind is going to pick C2it anyway? Unless we all dump Pay Pal and Billpoint and only offer C2it, buyers aren't going to pick the option where THEY pay fees.

I think all the online payment services should split the fees 50-50 between buyer and seller. I know...dream on.

Has anyone yet received payment thru c2it. I'm wondering if it is set up like paypal with entering the email address, auction amts etc. I decided to try it [sign up] but I an hoping that whoever might decide to use it from my winners will not have a problem entering the info.

Nope = Why?

I don't like C2it, buyers don't want to pay to send money.

I don't like AW's pretending like a promotion of a business relationship has anything to do with appreciation.

I won't pay $200 per year for a service which won't refund the unused portion, no matter how poor the service.

I remember ExchangePath - an AW partnership nightmare with a free listing day.

I hate pop-ups.

I hate eye spam.
