After spending over 1/2 hour searching ebay for the exact percentage charged to list a reserve auction..I'm either really stupid or they're such weasels! Probably both !
I want to list an item on consignment and the owner wants a very high reserve, over $1500.00 on it.
I haven't listed a reserve for over a year.
What is the percentage of the reserve ebay charges for listing? All I can find on their fee pages re: reserve listing fees is a "it depends on the amount of the reserve..."!!!
I'm SO frustrated...nowhere will it tell me where to find a table of fees for listing. I don't list directly from their pages, only through AW.
Gotta list this by 6.30 PDT if poss.
HELP!

Well the ebay site map and listing fees info does really suck.
You are right, they dont tell you what the reserve fee is (even tho its refundable IF the item sells):
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sellerguide/selling-fees.html
All I could suggest is pretend you are listing something directly on the ebay manual list page, put in the reserve, and see what ebays fee is...
then back out.
Hey ebay, why don't you give real info on your pages ???

Reserve Price Auction Listings
The Insertion Fee is based upon the reserve price of the item you list for sale.
Minimum Bid,
Opening Value or
Reserve Price Insertion Fee
$0.01 to $9.99 - $0.30
$10.00 to $24.99 - $0.55
$25.00 to $49.99 - $1.10
$50.00 to 199.99 - $2.20
$200.00 and up - $3.30
When you list a Reserve Price Auction, you will also be charged a Reserve Price Auction Fee, which is based upon the reserve price.
Reserve Price - Reserve Price Auction Fee
$0.01 to $24.99 - $0.50
$25.00 and up - $1.00

I there is a 1.00 add reerve fee refundable if the item sells
The listing fee however is based on the reserve amount in your case it would be the cost of listing a item with a 1500 opening bid plus 1.00
you can find out for sure by listing a item with a 1500 reserve take it right up to the final screen wher ebay will show you the ad tell you the listing fee and ask you to confirm to start your listing at that point cancel or shut your browser down and you will have your answer for shure
spock here......

Thank you capotasto and mrpotatoheadd.
Mr.P, I'd love to know where you found that page!
I remember seeing one a loooong time ago , but couldn't find my way to it today through the site map or their "helpful" links!
Of course, AW's Auction Manager's on the fritz this evening, so I couldn't get it listed in time anyway, but I did need that information and appreciate you both taking the time, thanks again.
