I was minding my business, going down my alley when I came upon a garage with a 3 foot high pile of books that spanned the width of a two car garage. I had to look. Lots of crap, but I also found about three boxes of old business books about advertisng and so on from the 1920's- the 1960's. I couldn't find much on ebay or half.com. Does anybody know much about this field? Any help is apreciated.

Thanks,

Alan

Congratulations!

Those are the kinds of piles that are just fun to dig in!

Get creative with listing - especially listing under the city name. Your category is Ephemera (probably spelled wrong)

Also .... if you come across any Cities Service stuff that you want to unload let me know - my dad used to have one and I love surprising him with stuff!

Good luck - and I wish I could "dig" with you!

If I had those books and put them on bay 10 cents no reserve, I wouldn't get any bids.
Me, I'd leave them there.
I sell lots of books but not those kind.

I'd search completed auctions on ebay for any of the advertisements in them. They might be worth more than the books themselves.
