I used By it now on an auction yesterday and it showed I had bid the amount needed for by it now and everything looked fine. I didn't go back to the item to check but just assumed it to be ok.
My ebay page shows I bid the $49 necessary to purchase it through BIN but it only registered the $39 minimum bid for some reason. I did click on the by in now icon to bid and don't understand why it didn't work right. This morning I checked to see if I had an email from the seller and then went to the site to get his email address only to find the bid was now at $50.
I have 940 positive feedbacks with only 1 neg I received the first week I was on Ebay from some guy who posted a retaliatory neg for the one I left him when he didn't pay me $3 for a record! I haven't posted negative since and haven't received one since.
Just wondering if the seller did this or if it was a glitch in the Ebay system.

If you physically typed in an amount on the page, then you did not use the BIN. You entered a regular bid. When using BIN, you do not have to enter an amount, you only click Buy It Now and follow the confirmation screens. Without seeing the item in question, I am guessing you only bid on it.
