I'm having a problem with the Auto Mailer that VRANE provides, but gathering from my responses in the past, not many of you use it. I'll give it a shot anyway.
The Auto Mailer is supposed to e-mail the winning bidder with my EOA notice, and also mail a copy to me. Instead, what I get is a returned mail message that shows the following:
The original message was received at Tue, 24 Jul 2001 02:19:34 -0500
from bin.vrane.com [###.###.###.###]
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<[email protected]>
(reason: addressee unknown)
----- Transcript of session follows -----

********************************************************************
The e-mail that I should receive (the EOA) is attached to this message. OK, so how did I get the returned mail message if my e-mail address has a problem???
Oh, and I already e-mailed VRANE support and they say that the problem is with my mail server, and that I need to contact my ISP.
Any ideas?

Hey there, Rule. Well, since no one replied to my Vrane post today either, I figure I'd help commiserate with you. I pay for the auto mailer, and yes, occasionally I'll get some people each weekend that say they didn't get any EOA e-mail from me. Maybe they were right after all, now that I've read your post.
My post today (so far unanswered) was that vrane's "easy feedback" gives unwanted feedback to those names I've told it NOT to,
regardless of which browser I'm using.
I know my post hasn't helped you much, but maybe you're not so alone with this problem
after all.
I don't use the feedback part, but if either part isn't functioning correcly it kinda scares me. I had an auction end today that I didn't reply to because I figured VRANE would, but it's 10:30 PM and I still haven't received my copy of the EOA.
I'm not sure if VRANE is safe to depend on for the Auto Mailer (or the Easy Feedback!).

I have a company i deal with , they email all my customers that win auctions at midnight. It works great , but are the last few weeks i am beginning to get emails from AOL customers that say they never got a letter. The service also emails me a carbon copy of the letter , so i can email them and tell them we have emailed them. The problem is become quiet big , to the point of effecting my feedback . I have contacted the service i use and they are working on it but i wanted to know if there are others in the same boat???
