I have seen people praising the gallery feature here before and there was some kind of way to make a personal gallery or something to that effect...
Can someone repost the best way to use the gallery?
By the way I sell clothes if that makes a difference!

I've got a good one, It works WONDERS for me. First, put all of your auctions on the Gallery option (its an extra quarter, but well worth it.)When you post your auctions, put a codeword on the description (a word you will never find on another auction when you run a search) Then ,before you post the auctions, run a search on that codeword, click the "gallery only" option, then copy the resulting URL (obviously, nothing's going to show up... YET) and paste it onto your auction description as a link, and put something like this: "If you want to see a Gallery of all my items, click HERE" And presto! Instant personal gallery page! Works wonders and the traffic in my auctions has doubled since I started using it, and suddently single customers started getting into multiple auctions!!
To make a clickable link on your auction page try this: bolded is the url copied from the search results. So copy and paste this to your auction page only replace the bolded part with your own URL. You can also replace "My Personal Gallery" with your own phrase.
<p><A HREF=http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&pb=&ebaytag1 ebayreg&ht=2&st=1&query=abc&ebaytag1code=0 target=new>My Personal Gallery</A><p>
ADDED: Since this url came up this way in AW make sure you leave a space betewwn the 0 target
Anouther ADDED: I've replaced the = with a space to break the line in the above URL. Changed this =&ebaytag1=ebayreg&ht to this =&ebaytag1 ebayreg&ht
Hope it works...I hate to scroll sideways.
I also recommend that you use your search word in your title. Try and find a combination of 3 oddball letters that just are as a rule not used together for anything such as llh or g7b maybe your initials with a number in the middle. Do some searches, title and description searches and if you can come up consistantly for a week or 2 with out finding that combo then its a safe bet that only yours will come up when you get started.
The reason I say to put it in your title is that your gallery will get indexed right away for search. Otherwise it can take up to 24 hours to index. Giving up the 3 spaces in your title is well worth it to get indexed right away.
If you have anymore questions I'd be happy to try and help.
It does work wonders, the 3rd party gallerys have a tendency to hang up alot of the older/slower computers so I stayed away from them. At least they don't get my look.

Yes, I use this with everyone of my auctions.
The clickable link on the auction page takes them(buyer) directly to a page that has ALL the auctions pictured.
This way they can see at a glance everything you have to offer without clicking onto each individual auction to view the picture.
And we all know that sometimes a picture is worth a 1000 words.
I've had many customers tell how they really enjoy being able to see all the pictures and also I've had them thank me for the 3 letter search word. They tell me it is so fast and easy to find me that way.
Its easier to remember a 3 letter combo then it is to remember a long user ID.
Put your letters in any search box and you should come up. With eBays new default of including the pictures in the search makes it 100x more valuable.

Thanks packer. I may try that on my next batch of auctions. Does it really help sales that much? I mean, $0.25 extra per listing could add up quickly.
Well my verdict on the gallery is "I like it, it seems to work for me".
Yes, I use it in EVERY auction.
Not much sense to have a Photo Gallery and only picture half your stuff.
When I first started using the gallery I surveyed my buyers. The ones that answered did use it and enjoyed how easy it was to get an overall look at things.
I had enough positive responses that I decided it was well worth the time and money spent.
I don't like the 3rd party galleries because they always locked up my computer.
There were alot of reports here on the boards of it affecting other users computers as well.
Like anything else, alot depend on what you sell as to whether its worth it or not.

Creating Your Own Gallery on eBay
Did you know that you could have your own personal Gallery of items
on eBay? What a great way to showcase the items that you have
listed in the eBay Gallery. To create your own Gallery, simply follow
these steps:
Step 1: Insert a unique phrase or word in the item description of each
of your items. We suggest using your email address.
Step 2: Find the link to your Gallery items (this will only need to be
done once):
a) Go to the gallery search page.
b) Insert your unique phrase or word (from step 1) into the search field.
c) Click on the 'Search titles and descriptions' box and click on
'Search'.
d) The link to your Gallery items can be found in the Address window,
which is also known as the Location or URL window. Copy this link.
Step 3: Insert a link to your Gallery items into your item description
using HTML tags:
<A href="Paste the link from Step 2d here"><B>Click Here to See Our
Items We Have for Sale in the eBay Gallery</B></a>
Following these three steps will create your own personal eBay
Gallery. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words. This is just
another way to show off your items to your bidders.
