Good Morning! I have some questions about some amber plates that I just found. I no nothing about glass and I'm not sure what they're called or if they worth trying to sell even. They are kinda unique though. They have a raised circle that appears to be for a tiny condiment dish. Like for tartar sauce, ketchup, that sort of thing. Any ideas? I have pics too. Email me for them. [email protected]

There probably KINGS CROWN Snack Plates. The indentation is for a cup. Do they have a Thumbprint pattern.
I got 18 I'll sell ya. Got them at auction and someone walked off with my cups
You could try and sell them as replacement plates, but they are heavy and cost more to ship then they are worth.

Packer is right on target on this one. They are snack plates. If you can locate the cups, they may be worth selling. Would suggest listing them under Yellow-Amber Depression Glass Snack Set(s). Depression glass is a fairly hot collectible and seems to sell very well, especially pink or green.
If you can't find the cups, you may have yourself some wonderful Unique and Rare Amber Glass Frisbees!

I had a hard time (actually no luck) selling some very nice amber glass berry (or soup) bowls/dishes on eBay (shipping is very high) or at my local consignment shop (sat for months and usually my stuff sells there in a few days; a high item maybe 6 weeks).
My solution was to paint my kitchen beige. I found some brown dishware at a garage sale, and the bowls go very nicely with it. Very country.

I found out they're not canape plates. Which sounds like what you both are describing. The circle is WAY too small. A cup wouldn't fit in it. It only about 1.5-1.75". The plates themselves are 10".

More than likely made by Indiana Glass in the 1970's-1980's.
Until Martha S. puts amber on her front cover, all of us will sit with our amber glass.
