Anyone who may know anything about older glass Kitchen canisters, I have a picture from an auction of the exact canister I need, only the ones listed were green and I need Amber. Mine do have bubbles in the glass and ten sides. Who can help me identify them and possibly give me hints on how to find a replacement canister? Also, need help posting the picture. I will say right now I stole it from the auction for reference purposes, and I e mailed the seller asking for his/her help in identifying them as well

If you have it uploaded somewhere that you can link to it, just use [?img} at the beginning and [/img?] at the end. Take out the question marks and don't leave any spaces.

I did it!!! Thanks y'all!
Now, what the heck are these and how can I find out where to get some Amber ones???
I have since found out through e mail that these are blown glass, there is a circle on the bottom of each one, but no identifying marks, and the bottom of the biggest one is slightly concave. Those are all the clues I have.

Is the circle rough or look more like a smooth round mold mark. If its rough thats a broken potil mark or scar and typical of blow glass. This look more like a manufactured item to me from the picture. It really hard to say who made these. I have seen theses before though.

The circle is smooth, and not in the center of the bottom, but more off to one side. There are bubbles all throughout, and the largest one is concave on the bottom when held upside down. I am hoping someone can help me find one. I appreciate any help in getting me to that point. Thanks!!

If the pontil is rough or broken, it is blown. If it is smooth with a circle, and there are seams, it is not blown. The coloring on these green ones (can barely see them) appears post 1960.
For what my opinion is worth, I don't think these are old, in the sense that they are depression or pre-depression. I think they are 1970's or later - perhaps foreign made.
But you asked where to get more.....in amber..Pier One? Marshall's? Le Target? A Dish-Barn (if they still exist?) Replacements? QVC Outlets?(nah, that last one was a stretch!)

Well, that is a relief. It means that finding a replacement should not be that hard, and that it should not be unreasonably hard to do so. Thank you all for your expert advice!

I have a set of canisters exactly like that, except in blue. I bought them at Service Merchandice over 20 years ago.
