So I have a stack of these magazines, dating from 1944 though 1949. Anybody know the history of the magazine? I thought at first they were a Boy Scout type publication, but now I don't think so, and I can't find anything at all online about the history of the magazine - not when it started, when it ended, nothing.

Anybody? Is this worth anything?

boys life is the boy/cub scout publication and I beleive it was at the time you mention
dosnt it say something on one of the first few pages as to who publishes it ??
It would seem that reading a few ought to give you some Idea as to who they were written for.
spock here......

MaddieNicks,

Here's a link with a little history:

http://www.pulpgen.com/pulp/biglist/data/data168.html

And some information about one of their writers.

http://www.gonu.com/hall/amccoy.html

Don't know if this helps, but it can't hurt.

Also, though I can't include the link, I did find one from 1944 with a $13.00 price tag.
