I mailed a Express Mail package that is still not showing up on the www.usps.com site. Anyone have a simliar experience? (That hopefully ended successfully!)

It can take several hours or a day to show up on the site at which point it may have already been delivered. Web sites are notorious for unrefreshed data tables.

At delivery, the carrier will scan the barcode on the express mail package. But this information stays within his/her barcode reader until they return to their office (probably in the mid or late afternoon).
Then they put their scan gun in a data collection cradle and it's uploaded to the USPS database. So if a package was delivered at 10 AM today, you might not see that confirmed on th Web site until 6 PM or so.
