I am glad someone else had the brass to tell everyone they did this. I do not feel near as bad now about mine.

I tried to get e-bay to take it away but they would not. Just looks like a funny POS on their account.

Well, that's not half as numb as when a NEGATIVE is left when POSITIVE was INTENDED. I still don't know how some people could be so careless, especially with the additional warning screen.

Man! I just did that very same thing last night ! At least I DID get my comments in the comments box though! I guess it'll just look like I was too chicken to actually neg the guy...but I sure meant to! Before I did that, I did get my FVC for the item! I sent eBay a request to change the feedback from positive to negative or at least take it out where I could go back in and actually neg him - yes, I know they won't do that, but it never hurts to ask... at least he's got at least one FVC (mine) against him , which isn't the only one hopefully, as he'd received 2 negs from one seller before I attempted to do the same! Maybe he'll be NARU'd soon!

skeetypete - My respect and admiration for you is unbounded. In a day and age in which most people are unable or unwilling to take responsibility for their actions, owning up to mistakes is a real act of self-respect and courage.

You are a shining example of grace under pressure for all of us!

Skeetypete--
You are too hard on yourself. Yet I understand as I would be banging my head against the wall. Maybe you'll get a good answer from timesensitive (hah-- that was a joke). No, but seriously if they say no the first time email them again. The one thing I have learned about dealing with ebay is persistance pays off.
Hope they change it.

so I don't understand exactly what happened here.

If you enter a comment but forget to check any box, does the "don't leave comment now" apply?

Or did you check the pos or neutral instead of neg?

I have also left a positive when I meant to check the negative box. Countless emails to ebay produced nothing but responses stating too bad (in other words but.....).

We are all idiots, just at different moments in time.

I seem to practice a little more than most sometimes though...........

the comment defaults to positive, you have to change it toleave anything else

skeetypete,

Not when you leave your feedback through Ebay's Feedback Forum. The default there is the bold Don't Leave Feedback Now radio button. Where do you leave your feedback from?

i usually use vran unless i have only 1 or 2 to leave. then i just go to the actual auction page and click on leave FB for bidder....it defaults to pos. when using that method

I've done this in the past as well. Bugs me.

The worst: Leaving a negative when I meant a positive. Try explaining that to a bidder. It was nasty!

Yes. like micheneraddict said, I do my feedback through the ebay feedback forum, so I wasn't understanding this thread.

Thanks.
