I'm not too "up" on German, but the front cover says something like, and this is a rough translation:

one People = ein Volk
one Country = ein Reich
one Leader = ein Fuherer

Try using one of those instant translator sites and type in some phrases that you find on the record.

Thanks Veebee and Loosecannon.

What type of "translator" site? I'm not familiar with those.

Appreciate it!

Try going to a search engine like www.google.com and type in what you're searching for:

Instant translator

or

German to English translator,

and you should get some sites to look at. Just type in your word or phrase and it will give you a translation. I found one but it would only do words, not phrases. The ones that do phrases are better.

This is what it translated the above as:

"a people richly a fuherer"

"Reich" means bountiful, plentiful, fertile, large, spacious, etc., which is what the German leaders described their Country as being in those days (Third Reich or The Reich). A national pride type of thing.

So you see that it can be confusing because translators give literal meanings of the words.

Alright, I used that translator (thanks for the suggestion!) and translated the entire back of the album. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me but I also don't speak German and don't really know what they are talking about

So I just have one more (maybe 2, who knows!) question! Which keys do I use on my computer numbr pad with the ALT key to get the o with the dots above it, the "u" with the dots above it, the "e" with the mark above it, etc? Is there a "list" of that sort of thing somewhere? I'd like to list the names properly and if I do that then I could actually probably just type the text in as German as well so that the bidders can see it on their own.

I appreciate everyone's help!

Ein Volk= one people(as in nation, or tribe)

Ein Reich= one empire

Ein Fuehrer= 0ne leader

Eine historische Collage= a historic compilation

The rest of the writing on the front is just names.

Can't read the rest of the text on the last picture.

Feel free to email me with any other questions you might have. (I actually am German)

Well I appreciate everyone's help but now I"m kind of annoyed.

I put up that auction last night, had BIDS on it...and got up this morning and eBay had cancelled it. I'm not playing stupid, can someone explain to me why that record would not have been allowed on eBay?

Probably because it's Der Fuherer. Nazi stuff, you know?

I think I am just really naive. I know what the Nazi's are...but I dont get why something like that isn't allowed on eBay as it's a collectible?

Anyhow, thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.

I don't see any swastikas pictured (you can't sell anything with swastikas), but Adolf Hitler and his henchmen offend many people to this day.

They tried to exterminate an entire race of people--the Jews, and many other peoples. They enslaved people from conquered countries. Read a book on WWII and in particular, the war in Europe if you want to learn a little about it.

Try listing it on a Military site. They will let you sell it there.

Hello again..I just did a search under spoken word in records..there is one hitler record on right now with a 50.00 bid and under completed there was 3 or 4 that went through ebay and sold.

Somebody turned you in..it happens to me all the time when i try running promo records..anymore i never mention promo in the title or the body of the auction. I let them look at the photo..Do what i do.put it back on in a week or two.
