This is directed to jt, kyms, and jamesoblivion. We were all famous for one day and I did not know it. Someone else pointed it out to me. Even though the thread mentioned has long since passed, I remember it as being one of the funniest ones I ever started. Not because of me, but because of the responses it elicited. Boy that was fun! Here was the URL if you wanna look, sure made my day, though it was a year and a half too late!http://www.auctionwatch.com/awdaily/dailynews/january00/4-013100.html

edited to add:

Since then, I moved into a larger house. One of the primary factors in choosing it was the fact that it has an office in the basement and a finished room that was ready to house my "eBay stuff". That was a year ago, and you oughtta see that room now. Well, I oughtta see that room now. You can't see the floor for boxes and eBay stuff...

Raggedyluver and I (remember raggedyluver?) were written up in a national magazine a couple of years ago, but I can't remember the name of the mag. I've got a copy around here someplace--OK, 40 copies.

Dang, loosecannon, that is so cool, and boy I do remember Raggedyluver...had quite a few conversations with her on here.

And I can understand the 400, er...I mean 40 copies of the magazine. I now have a text file, bookmark and printed page ....

Strange how something like that can make you feel, well, special!

Congrats on the published write up!!

I had forgotten all about it until you posted this.

Did I say write-up?

I should have said they quoted a couple of sentences I said. All in all, I got a short paragraph or maybe two short paragraphs. Raggedyluver's quotes and story was a little more extensive.

I was kidding about the 40 copies. I only have one. But you know what? I had to go to three or four stores before I found one that carried that particular magazine.

I personally would not have stopped at three or four stores, had I not found one....

Now, I must e mail a link of my quoted thread to everyone I know, and I am contemplating what type of frame to put my printed page into so that it will be displayed well. On my front door.

I still have no couch (or any other real furniture...just office stuff), and now I have my entire Living Room, Kitchen, two Bedrooms and two storage sheds full...Heck, I cant even get into one bedroom anymore. (and you should see the car).

I know this is a sickness, but I just can't stop...I see dollar signs in everything...

I'm half shamed, and half proud...hmm..Think I'll go shopping...

I remember that well. I was so jealous! I wanted an ebay house. Well, my dream came true. AND I LOVE IT!

I remember laughing so hard that my spouse had to come and read for himself because I was laughing so hard.

Those days were different then these days. I was just a lurker back then. Many of the posters from days in the past seem to be long gone.

You guys are very entertaining and educating!

RichieRich, I consider that a compliment in the highest order!

That was a funny thread, I spent many hours back then on AW.

Congrats on finally getting the "eBay pad" you always wanted. It is truly a life like no other!
