Hi all--I loooove my Sony Mavica 73! Today I ordered a carrying case for it from Sony, and I nearly fainted when the price quoted for an extra battery (4-hr rechargeable) was $60. Do you know where I can get a 2- or 4-hr rechargeable battery, hopefully for less?

This camera is a huge help for me with ebay sales and is a dream come true. I have however had to get a tabletop tripod to avoid moving the camera when I'm pressing the button. (No big deal!) ~Adele

Hi

Of course, check on Ebay. I have seen many batteries for sale there.

If you are mainly using it for auctions, the charging time is minimal. I charge for sometimes 15 minutes and then you are ready to shoot some more.

When you are finished for the night shooting, just charge up the battery then so you are ready for the next day.

Hope this helps.

I looked ALL over for an extra battery - nobody had them. SONY only referred me to the local Comp store. I finally found one at Outpost.com...for guess what? $59.99! Yup.

Make sure you always check NexTag.com for competitive pricing. It will show you a comparison price for the major outlets, what their stocking position is, and what their shipping cost are to your zip code.

Last year, I bought a 4 hour battery for 29.95 + 4.00 shipping, but I don't remember where it was from............

Mr. Spock---

Could you send me the userID or auction #
for the battery that you won. Perhaps he has
more and I may want to get one.

When my camera finally arrived 2 months after the ebay auction closed, my NIB camera had a battery that absolutely would not charge. I drove to WalMart and bought one there. I think I paid around $50, which made my good deal on ebay (even after waiting two months and getting the seller kicked off ebay) not such a good deal.
Not my name on ebay.
