Most time when I try to list or revise an auction, I get the message "Page Can Not Be Displayed." I have to keep clicking the back button to resubmit. We have a regular ISP Connection. Any ideas why this seems to happen all the time? I am tempted to buy E-Bay's Seller Pro if it will help with this problem. Thanks, DE

Two things One if your not useing Internet explorer 5.5 Upgrade second thing if you are useing 5.5 purge your cache.
Dont just clear it while the broswer is running but shut down your browsers go to your system tools from the windows start menu and run disk cleanup this empties every thing includeing programs and scripts in the temp directory. then also delete your cookies some time the out dated cookies can mess up website fuctions.

Hi, daleeric - which browser are you using? It seems that there is more trouble when using IE; I finally downloaded a version of Netscape to use just for revising/relisting.

I too have problems listing with IE and even Netscape. I find that Opera 5 is a pleasure to use and most of my listing frustrations have disappeared.
Opera 5 comes in two modes - free (ad sponsered) and purchased. You can download it from:

Hi--I was having the same problem and it was driving me nuts! Fortunatley, another AW member told me what I needed to do to fix it. If you have a PayPal logo in your auction, this is probably added after the auction is listed, right? It contains JavaScript, which is now there when you go to relist. Go to your auction description and scroll down until it says something about PayPal logo. Then just delete everything from there on down. No, you won't have a PayPal logo in your auction, but it will be listed! This really did the trick for me!

I am using IE 5.0 without problem.
(netscape also works fine but it's slower)
We did have a problem relisting when we were using AOL but those are gone now that we are on DSL.
The PayPal logo is no problem as it is in every one of our auctions and relistings.
I like the disk clean up answer and try to empty your temp. internet files every now & then.
Getting DSL/cable makes the internet a whole new world.............
(of course your results may vary)

Thanks guys. I will try a few of those suggestions. Thursday night seems to be a very busy listing night. I thought that might be the reason. It seems better some times than others. The last group of auctions I listed two without a hitch then it happened on the third listing. If these suggestions work, listing will be a breeze...

We downloaded Internet Explorer 5.5, got rid of our cookies, and cleared the Cache and still had a problem listing last night. I don't know how many times I click on verify to try to get the listing to go through the next page. It must have been over 20 times for two auctions. I was thinking of hiring someone for minimum wage, just to press that button while I have martinis in the other room.
Got three auctions listed, but it was extremely difficult. Tried to revise the title of an auction this morning 40 tries and was not able to do it. DSL is not available in our area.
Is it internet explorer? IE is top rated.

Good Morning,
Had the same problem, using IE, Cable connection and cleared cache every other day. Used a suggestion from the board and went into my auctions when relisting and deleted the Auctiva link and now I have no problem!!!

Just tried again about 20 times. The Auctiva Link is added later and isn't in the auction text. The Pay Pal text was deleted and the problem didn't get better. I wonder if it is internet explorer.

I tried revising with Opera. It seemed to work well. I got both done at the same time. Thanks Siddielou and everone else for your suggestions.
