I bought a set of nice 14kt earrings from a ebay seller. They have enough experience they that they have in excess of 6,ooo feedback.
I had to prompt them to ship 10 days after I PayPal'd them and then look what they did to the posts to make them fit in an envelope.
What do you guys that sell jewelry think of that?

Bent is right! I would e-mail them the pictures and ask for a refund.
I also got a "lot" of jewelry today. This was one I had been waiting for since the beginning of June. I paid by Billpoint and she finally mailed it a few days ago. She shoved it all into a small used ziploc bag into a bubble mailer. She didn't wrap the pieces individually so some of it is also a bit "bent".
She sent a nice note and she did apologize for taking so long and she looks forward to doing business again with me.
I just looked at your pic again. Did the gold backing split behind the post on the earring on the left?

Send them back and then even if they send you a new pair I would give them a negative to remind them not to do that again. Even if they sent them without bending them and USPS bent them the prong should have been protected. I sell jewelry in a bubble envelope but I wrap everything individually, put peanuts on the prong of the pierced earrings, insert all items in a ziplock bag wrap in bubble wrap again and then send it.
I can hear it now. If you email them and tell them they will say the USPS did it.

The back is just bent. I have already grabbed them with a fine pair of needle nose and straightedned them out. The thing is I work with metal and that did not scare me to do but most people would be real worried about doing anything like that. I don't need a retaliatory neg but I am leaving them a neutral, and I will never buy from them again. Is that so hard for them to figure out ? They don't need repaet customers?

That is just rediculous... what in the he!! were they thinking? They have enough experience to KNOW not to do something like that. Jeez...
I sell jewelry too, and each piece goes in a separate little ziplock baggie, in a cotton-filled jewelry box, in a bubble mailer. I don't take ANY chances of something like that happening to my stuff, or to my customers.
