As a buyer I'd say no. I can't be bothered looking at the "stores". If I can't search for it on eBay, I'm not going to take the time to scrounge around on the store site....

If I were Caesar, I'd give it the thumbs down. I was really shocked at the lack of page views, let alone sales.

I really don't mean to sound like a cheerleader of any sort. I'm not.
The stores have a lot of problems.
That said, I really think success or failure depends a lot on what you sell. Items in my store are selling on a fairly regular basis. (I can imagine how well they'd do if the stores were put together with any degree of quality!)
Also, you have to find a way to drive traffic to your store on your own. Ebay is no help at all in this regard.
My store is doing well enough that I'm going to keep it when eBay starts charging the monthly and listing fees.
