What are the chances Ebay will have a free listing day smack in the middle of the boycott?

Just the kind of thing eBay might do!

It would give the boycotters a shred of credibility of they actually organized a boycott and stuck to their guns in the face of a FLD. Or even if they would just organize the boycott for a week NOT in the middle of the summer doldrums when half of us aren't listing anyway.

I think most eBay sellers like selling on eBay because they can be about as independent as eBay rules will allow. They can sell what they want (well, most of the time anyway), when they want and for what they want. The typical eBay seller is not a good prospect for any kind of "union".

I never had a problem with Ebay rules until they tried telling me I could not sell an item off site after the end of the auction. To me that intruded on my freedom a bit too much. But alas that is topic for another thread lol.
