I posted here on 8/1 on a thread called "Who uses c2it that I had no problems. Well guess what!

On 7/27 I was paid. The payment is on my c2it account. I sent the package - it was shipment day. I will pull my payment later, had to get to the PO.

Later, I try to pull this payment and get an error message R0004-Please try again later. Thought I goofed. Tried again, same thing. Figured c2it was having problems!

Forgot about it.

8/2 go to c2it and see I have not pulled this payment. I try to get it. Same error. I pull the rest of my payments (4 of them) with no problem. I try again, same thing.

I call at 3.30 a.m. on 8/3. Tell them the problem. No idea why I can't have this money. They will pass it on to technical people and call me back.

Much to my surprise - at 4:00 a.m on 8/3 my telephone rings. (are they tring to wake up everybody?)

The customer service girl called back to say after I hung up she went to look at the sender for info on this problem and it is noted that he needs to call and advises me NOT to ship it. A little to late I informed her. Oh! she says always pull your payment before shipping because they can take it back if you do not.

I feel that once the payment is in MY account it should be MINE and NO take backs! I understand if it goes unclaimed by someone who is not set up BUT I have an account.

Anyway - Unless the sender calls them I can not get the money.

Just thought you all should know!

that's the beauty of C2it
the money is NOT in your account, you have to claim it and when you claim it it is then in whatever account you send it to.

here's how I do my c2it payments

email arrives from c2it
I print it
I goto c2it and claim money
i MARK the printout (claimed) and place it in my stack to be sent.
then whenever i am shipping I just grab the printout as if it were an envelope and process it as i would any other.
easy, neat and no fee for me

As a side note, I still have a payment setting in c2it, that I have not claimed, its been there for 50 days now.
the reason i have not claimed it is that the buyer sent me a double payment, I emailed him and told him to cancel it, but he has not
C2it sends me reminders to pick up the payment, but i wont and when 90 days goes by the payment will be automatically canceled.

whiemist - According to c2it. In your situation the customer has to call and and cancel the payment and in addition request a check back which cost them $3.00.

At least that is what the rep told me when I had a duplicate payment.

I did not like to have all this little deposits to my bank. I rather made one deposit a week, maybe two a week BUT not pull my money with each payment. It makes the bank rec for such a small business outrageous! WHY tell me I have money if I really do not. If there is a problem with the payment why even involve me....do not tell me it is there until it is good money and MINE!

Well I emailed my customer. Explained the problem and asked him to call them. He called c2it on the afternoon of 8/4. He said - "I called C2it and they wanted to varify my address etc. I was very upset and angry. I will call again on Monday morning. They asked their
questions and I answered them. "

On the night of 8/4 I thought lets just see and presto I GOT THE MONEY!

BUT I still do not like how it was handled!

And a lot of folks complained that buyers sent them money through Paypal that they didnt want and why the hell did paypal accept it without their permission? And other folks complained that they got a "you've got cash" email from PP and shipped the item but when they went to their account, the money wasn't there. And buyers complained that they sent money via PP to a seller with a restricted account or they accidentally sent the wrong amount and now there's no way to get it back. So C2it tries to do it in a better way, where the seller must accept the money and until they do so the buyer can cancel and still folks complain. Just goes to show, you can't please everyone.
