Ok, we had a pretty nice discussion about what makes us less more or less inclined to bid on an item.
A good photo....
A good description....
Well, throw it all out the window!
Today I came across a seller who uses NO CAPS anywhere (hurrah), but also no photos and a very short description!
Sample....
>b/w thief, on 4 ad, not sure if us or uk # is ad5003, sleeve has bent corner, new never played, shipping $2.25, outside of usa $4.00, pacific rim $5.00, check held 10 days,<
That's it! Short and contains everything needed I guess. Same type of desription for all of the auctions that I looked at. (over 100 current)
Seller has over 2,000 positive feedbacks and only a few negatives!
Hats off to anyone that can sell that well without pictures.
I guess I learned that I have not learned anything yet.
edited because I have yet to learn how to spell correctly

IMO, Depends on the item....
For example, I'm looking for another wireless networking card for my Mac laptop...
Ad says, with no picture, "Farallon Skyline network card, Mac/PC, 11mbps, NIB
Seller has good reputation (most Mac sellers do...*G*)
....that's all I need to know...
IOW, if the item up for sale is common and easily seen elsewhere on the net, many sellers, knowing their buyers saavy in such matters, keep things simple...
Now, a mid-19th century sapphire and diamond brooch, on the other hand.....totally different can of worms...
soldat2...you're right, I learned a lot from your other thread...tips to use in this falls selling spree...*G*
