I'm new to the world of online auction softwares and have been comparing two softwares...

AuctionWatch and Ebay's Seller's Assistant

A few personal questions:

1.What do you like most and least about the softwares?

2.Ebay's software supposedly has a feature that can automatically lauch auctions at a specified time; whereas AW will launch auctions only when you are physically there telling it to launch. Can AW auto lauch at a later time?

3. Can either of the two track when payments arrive at paypal or billpoint? then send a confirmation email stating that payment was recieved and that the package is on the way?

4.I would like to get an auction software that does the following...any recommendations?
- launch auctions at a specified time
- send automatic email contact when auction ends.
- Hands off automation after I launch the auction until i need to send the package (that means I POST; AUCTION ENDS; CONTACT EMAIL IS SENT; PAYMENT IS SENT; AUTOMATIC PAYMENT CONFIRMATION EMAIL SENT; I PRINT THE LABELS AND SEND THE PACKAGE)

I would greatly appreicate your recommendations. thanks in advance.

Thanks

you can automatically launch auctions from AW no problem with that.

There are web managers and program that auto send EOA letter but the canned responce are genrally ignored by the buyer they would rather personal contacts.

AW would be my last choice for a variety of reasons dating back to the great fee fiasco. Sellers Assistant Pro is superb if you are willing to pay the fee. Assistant Basic is not worth the effort if you have more than a few items to list. I typically run 5-600 auctions a week with multiple userids so it did not do the trick for me. SAPRO will do it all but has a very high learning curve. They explain very little and support is almost nonextistent. But, it is very reliable (no misfires on Sunday night) and, once you get the hang of it, extremely versatile. I really like it especially when coupled with Auction Trakker for keeping up with after sales necessities. I really like Auction Trakker for post sales automated responses. Once in a while I will use SAPRO for autoemails. I have all the templates set up in both just in case one goes down.
