I won an auction 6 days ago, have written 3 emails to confirm and asking where to send payment with no response from the seller. This seller has over 500 feedbacks with only 1 neg somewhere way back when. I don't get it. His comments are all glowing.
At first I thought maybe something unexpected happened and I should chill out. Just checked seller search and he has a bunch of new auctions on which were all listed yesterday, so it appears someone's alive and kicking on the other end of my emails. Any advice?

You can pull this users information, including their phone number by doing the following:
From eBay Home Page, click on the "Site Map" link at the top of the page. Look for the "Search" link in the middle of the first column of the page. Next, click the "Search for Members" link and you will be taken to a form which will allow you to enter the sellers eBay ID. You'll be provided with this individuals address and phone number.

With all the programs available to schedule auction launches, the fact that the seller posted new listings yesterday really doesn't mean anything. At this time of year, I would be inclined to think the seller might be off on a vacation. Although I think it is rude to have auctions end when you are away (unless you post it clearly in the auction listings INCLUDING the date you expect to respond), I'd give it a few more days before calling 911.

Computerboy, thanks for the help. I did get the contact info and turns out to be at her place of employment (a government agency to boot). She's in and out but they'll (reluctantly) leave her a message (hope that message doesn't read "your fired for doing business on company time). Why don't I have a good warm fuzzy feeling about all this?
I didn't want to sound the 911 alarm yet, but I'm leaving town in 2 days and needed to get the payment sent to avoid the dreaded NEG. I'll lay odds I end up with my 1st over this anyway. Never worked so hard to pay for something before.

I've had some otherwise very decent sellers take forever to respond. While personal matters do come up, it's definitely not good business. There's no real reason why a seller can't generate an email response to you within a couple of days. They should be contacting you within three days according to eBay.
Sellers you have to call are unclear on the concept and are to be avoided.

I've got the reverse problem--I can't contact the high bidder...his $%#@ server keeps bouncing anything I send to him as being spam. Tried at least a dozen times over the weekend to no avail (now I fear a neg coming, through no fault of mine). The person doesn't have any auctions running himself, otherwise I'd try to contact him through the "ask seller a question" link.

- #1 - Did you Try "Question for Seller" yet? If so, inform eBayCS & "Safe Harbor?" that Seller has an Invalid eBay Registered Seller Contact E-Mail Address and/or a Second Alternate E-Mail Address (Many do) that eBay does NOT have. Many Sellers will have a new E-Mail Address or add a "3" on one w/o notification of the change to eBay. I have a 6000+ Seller that has my $'s & will NOT answer E-Mails or Ship. Over 90 Days! (which eBay says puts it over their Time Limit for the Victim to still have "Fraud Protection"?) - #2 - Have you scanned the Sellers Positive Feedback for E-Mail Addresses on a fairly recent Muliple Buyer? They will help you more than "We are a Venue and do not act in any way for Sellers or Buyers. Thank you for contacting us." - #3 - If Seller suddenly contacts you directly or thru the "Venue", with any Threat of a NEG; immediately Reply with eBay CCed and a Sample of the "BEWARE" NEGS and "NEG RESPONSE" that you have written, if a Confirmation and Valid Mailing Address is not received within 3 Days. - #4 - Don't sweat it, the Seller will probably E-Mail you THRU eBay! If they do and do not Reply immediately, NEG the Seller, you will enjoy it! - #5 - look up "Amherst" Auto-FB, they will let you access lots of good INFO there without a Fee or Membership. - #6 - open that bottle of Wild Turkey. It ain't your fault! - SOC/SoreEyeBalls courtesy of: PJ187
