Had an auction close, and the high bidder had a -1 feedback, with 2 positives and 3 negatives (two recent) plus a bad neutral.
Anyway, if I had seen this, I would have canceled the auction, but I was out of town that day. He wrote, and said he was bidding in 2 of my other auctions, and wanted a reduced shipping rate if he won. Great! What to do? I told him to email me back and explain why I should not cancel his bids based on his feedback. After 1 day of no response, I asked him to e-mail me or I would cancel. Well, no response. I decided not to cancel, and fortunately he was outbid.
I didn't expect to be paid for the one auction, but got a paypal - However, a different name and email address! Great, will this transaction never end? Well, asked him to email me from his other account for verification, which he did.
Glad it worked out, but I can see why others have had problems. Shouldn't someone with a ratio of 3 negatives, and 2 positives be banned? I think so...
