I am a seller and a buyer. My ads read: Payment expected in 10 days. (I really mean - If you get the chance in a few days or maybe a few weeks, could you kindly send me some $$)Some of the auctions that I have purchased also say, "Payment expected in 10 days, bla bla bla, I get so aggravated when I send (via pay pal, bill point,or M.O. or etc.) my payment and I have to wait 25 - 30 days for my item that I purchased. I really love the sellers that expect you to leave great feedback after they finally, after 40 days, leave you somewhat less than perfect FB. I really wish there were something I could do as a buyer to elimanate these slow- in over their heads- too much to do- sellers. As a seller, I do practice what I preach and ensure shipment within two days after payment is rec. Any help other than FB problems.

If you're worried that you'll mess up your seller's feedback by leaving honest feedback for other sellers (through retaliation), you might want to get another id that you can use to bid.

i think sellers who state they must have payment within 10 days (that's reasonble, i just don't mention it) should get the items in their buyers' hands in 10 days

kittykittykitty: what would you do about buyers who pay with a check? You certainly would not send their item within 10 days? All 3 of the bounced checks that I've had came from buyers with feedback over 200 and no negatives. I hold items for 10 business days when someone pays with a check. Otherwise I ship in 2 business days. My biggest complainers about not getting their items are those people who take 2 to 3 WEEKS to pay, pay with a check and then expect their item in 3 days after I send them a notice I've received payment.

good point, paintpower . sellers have the right to hold checks if they want to. and i think any buyer who's taken their sweet time to pay has given up any right to demand quick shipping. i usually ship quickly even if i get a late payment, but that's for my own convenience. if i'm extremely busy and a late payment comes in, i won't be going out of my way to ship it quickly
