list now or wait til fall? I have some great stuff to list ~ but do not want to give it away! Right now there is less competition for the type of items I sell (clothing) ~ but the bids are still coming in slow and low! Maybe it'd be best just to hold off til there are more bidders out there. What do you think?

eBay is dead right now. I'd wait til Fall unless the item is a hot mover.

Mall,
Move over, I think there is room in that boat for lots of us! I decided to take full advantage of this lull and go on vacation. Give your fingers and eyes a break from the computer, take the kids to 6 Flags and pull your hair out!
On the good side: we have lots of time to refine our listings and when the end of Aug hits, BAMMMMMM- 432 listings in one day!

Thanks for your feedback...I think I'll keep listing some oddball things just so my buyers don't think I've quit eBay...but I'm saving the good stuff for Fall!! Appreciated your responses. Mallary

antinoise1,

That's what I'm doing. I'm selling some stuff now, but I'm getting auctions ready to list later on in the year. With the garage sale season ending, I need to save some stuff to sell during the cold months anyway.

So far, I've made a lot of progress.

When does the garage sale season normally come to an end? In late September maybe?

I was going to take a vacation because it was slow enough that I figured my time would be better spent getting auctions all ready to launch in Sept. Then came Canada's free listing day, so I listed a bunch of things (mostly books) that hadn't sold before. I started everything high enough that I'd be happy with only one bid, and put on a some bin's.

So far, one bin, and one bid. For free listing, I'm happy with whatever sells. But I'm not going to pay to list very much right now.

Take a break if you can. By the end of December, we'll all be happily exhausted!

I can't figure it out. Everything I'm BIDDING on, has 5-6 bids, and the prices have skyrocketed (relatively speaking) and everything I'm SELLING, well, let's just say I'm happy if it sells....
