As a long time user of ENDICIA I am about to cancel my account unless things take a drastic turn for the better. They used to be great, but the last month has seen things get worse by the day.
Their ZIP code verification functions on a sporadic basis, I couldn't even make up any labels last weekend, and its hit or miss now.
In addition, when you check on the status of delivery confirmation it says no record of that item being mailed exists. I have postage from Aug 8,9 and 10 that I mailed and none of it shows up. One customer reported to me that she received her package yesterday (Sat Aug 11) as it was mailed
On Aug 8. But no record of it being scanned or delivered. Whats going on????
In addition when I have tried to get tech support on the phone or email, its much harder than it used to be. I am still waiting for callbacks/messages left Thursday. WHAT IS GOING ON????
I am afraid they are going the route of stamps.com and some other companies which are
now useless to deal with. Harry always jumps in on this forum to push his service, lets hope he can jump in and reassure some nervous customers.

Actually I believe the hit and miss scanning of DC inless you take the package directly to the PO to be scanned was a known down fall from the start... http://www.Dman-N-Company.com

If you're having trouble with zip verification, try changing the zip station that you're using.
They have two:
www.envmgr.com
www.dial-a-zip.com
Usually when on is down, the other works. Always send support ([email protected]) an email and they may need to reboot the server. They don't know until someone tells them.
They sent me an email and said "that if both our ZIP Station addresses fail, they might be experiencing a rolling
blackout. If you can't reach our web sites either, try again in an hour.
It's also possible that our Internet service provider is experiencing
technical difficulties. In most cases, however, simply switching from one
ZIP Station to the other solves the problem."
As far as the delivery confirmation goes, I have had a 100% scan rate. The package always shows up as being mailed at 10:01 pm the same night as printed. I get many intermediate scans at prcessing centers and always a final scan in the delivery city. (I do use a huge green "scan me" logo - perhaps that helps.)

Endicia may be suffering from some growing pains. They are a clearly better product in all ways than stamps.com and now the word is getting out. I think they'll catch up.
Endicia's parent company has a number of well established products and services so I don't foresee them running out of money anytime soon. That was the main problem with stamps.com - no money to pay anyone to staff their CS function.

I haven't had any problems at all in the last month until this weekend's Dial-a-zip outage and then I just switched servers and didn't miss a thing.

I switched servers addresses as noted above, and have not had any trouble. They seem to be growing and going strong, with a much superior product to stamps.com.

I think Endicia needs to add the alternative server URL's to the screen setup or somewhere otherwise, users will be lost unless they happen to be on this AW Endicia threads.
