My auction partner is a white witch and she is wondering if it would be wise to use a witch name for ebay name. She also hasn't picked out her witch name yet, so she is also wondering how one choses such a thing. I have no knowledge of the subject.

TIA

i dunno...something about the kind of magick she does. good intentions instead of bad? and they're not supposed to be worshipping the devil...other than that...i dunno Maybe she'd be Glenda instead of the wicked witch of the west??

Try the Round Table forum. Witchcraft is a popular topic there.

Belladonna?
Broom-Hilda?
Goody Two-Shoes?

Using political, social, religious, environmental, ethnic, or moral messages in your business, unless it objectivly and directly has to do with your product or service is not a smart business practice.

For every customer that may be attracted to your "message" there will be more that will not buy due to the "message".

Make your product and/or service your message, it will offend no one- unless the product or service itself is offensive, then it doesn't make any difference since the product is itself self-limiting.

What does your witchy friend sell? If she sells goth or pagan items, use a witchy name.

If she sells children's stuff, stick with a more conventional name. There are many home schooling Christian moms on ebay that would not appreciate any witch.

Oh come on, just choose a name and stick with it. I've seen my fair share of Id's that incoporate Demon names, fiend, comic book characters from imprints like Chaos! Comics and the like, even "furries" from Japanese Anime.

Heck, I have one monster name id, and it's the name of one of my Dungeons & Dragons "Personas."

Of course, you wouldn't want to name yourself The Scarlet Witch. Marvel don't like people ripping-off their chracter's names now.

They are just obviously f*ing with you and not taking you serious, tiggress! I think she could choose her name and nobody would even be the wiser as far as people who don't know better anyway. And, as far as people who understand the concept, she would have the advantage of being up front and honest and would do well. That's what I think anyway!

Remember Witchy-Poo from HR Pufnstuf?

Made me think of it....

That would be MY Witch name, if I were to have to choose one.
