Morning All- Today I woke to find a neutral on my feedback list... The item was a framed picture under glass. I shipped it the day after I got payment. It made it to the buyer intact and very fast. The neutral was for dust on the glass...
Maybe I'm just nice, but I have given positive to many items that came very dirty but intact and cleanable...
This item was not dirty, but may have been a bit dusty..They can easily wipe it with a dry cloth to remove the dust...
Did they overreact, or am I just not giving appropriate feedback?

For DUST on the glass?
I do believe that's the stupidest reason I've ever heard.
I'd be tempted to email them and say,
Dear XXX,
I'm so sorry to hear your item arrived with dust on it. Actually it's not dust. As we were packing your picture, we accidentally knocked the urn containing grandfather's ashes off the mantle and I'm afraid grandfather is now resting in pieces in several cities. He always wanted to visit (insert the name of their town here), so this would have made him very happy.

Would it be impertinant to ask how much they paid for it? For a few dollars I would think they get it as is. Twenty five dollars or more and they get it windexed. Over a hundred, it must be a collectible, so I would write a line of copy stating that this is a very old and rare item, with the dust of centuries on it, but I will let them decide how, and if, to remove it.
I got a neutural once after selling a used video tape: "Buyer shipped fast but terrible movie."

Thanks for the laugh! I needed it!
(they paid $10.00 including shipping)

I bought an old(100 years)picture with the convex glass at auction about 2 years ago. The back of this picture is loaded with OLD dust balls and the like.
When and if I decide to sell it, they will get dust and all. If fact I even plan to take a picture of it.
Don't ask if there is any value to it...who knows? I just felt compeled not to remove it as it adds authenticity to it.
