I received two dunning notices from eBay this evening "reminding me to pay my sellers". Both auctions closed last week, it took both sellers a few days to get back to me with a postage cost for mail to Canada, and both payments were mailed on August 10th.

What's with the impatient sellers?

Guess I can bit*h to eBay too when I don't get my tapes two days after they get my dough eh ...

Sheesh

If your time-line is accurate, they jumped the gun. I'm pretty mellow on waiting. About three weeks after the auction, I send out a reminder. If answered, I do nothing. If not answered, I file for the eBay reminder to be sent out (NPBA). At about 30 days, I file the NPBA whether or not they've responded because eBay gives you a time limit for FVF refunds. If a bidder gets upset, I explain this to them.

Summer is slow. Perhaps these sellers have too much time on their hands.

Yep, you should start wondering if your package has shipped within two days of their receipt of your payment. What goes around, comes around.

Thanks sadie

I pride myself on fast payment and I always pay with US cash - no hassles for the seller with cheques and money orders. My feedback proves this. It irks me when I get dunning notices like this.

Scratch two sellers off my list ...

I thought sellers had to wait 10 days after an auction closes to file for one of those "please pay your seller" notices. Has that changed too?

The NPBA is after 7 days and then you have to wait 10 more days to file the FVF Credit.

I don't bug the buyers IF I've heard from them.

If they tell me they are sending a MO or Check, then I know it could be a while for payment to arrive.

If they tell me they are paying electronically, I wait a little less time, but still several days. The logical assumption is that PayPal should be in a few days. I've had some buyers just forget and are grateful for the (ALWAYS POLITE) nudge.

But if they haven't bothered making contact, then beware!!!

Also, impatient buyers.... a buyer wrote me 4 times within 24 hours of the end of sale requesting the shipping...!
