I found these at an estate sale can't figure out how to describe them.

These are carved wood.

They have a loop on the back to hang from a wall.

They are 11" for the large one and 6.5" for the small one.

Any suggestions?

It would help if you could post a picture so we can view what it is that you are trying to describe.

Sorry for above posts.......pictures didn't load right away but are showing up now. Are they holding musical instruments? You could title it, "Vintage Carved Wood Oriental Musicians"........that's what they look like to me......

I would try a title with "Geisha musicians" in it. Geisha used to be required to play at least one instrument so they could entertain the patrons of the Geisha houses. It appears to me that these may be what the carvings are trying to represent.

They look more E.European (??Albania) to me?

or "Turkish Harem Grrrl Band", perhaps? Sorry, couldn't resist. They look Eurasian to me, & were I listing them I'd keyword the instruments they are playing, too. JMHO
