I'm about 99% sure I know the answer to this but thought I'd ask...Can I ship "Priority" to Canada? Thanks...

Don't expect too much from the Global Priority service. I have used it on two occassions to send items to Ontario from Pennsylvania. The location where they were sent to was about a 4 hour drive for me. One took 11 days and the other took 14 days. At that point I vowed I would never use Global Priority again. Standard air mail letter post items I send generally take 4 to 7 days. There had not been any customs inspections on the items to account for the slowdown.
I asked at the local post office if this was common, especially since it was such a short distance. They said that what happens when it crosses the border is anyone's guess. They didn't feel that it was worth the money because, from all the complaints they have heard about here to Ontario times, they assumed it was getting standard mail handling or worse.

I would second that. I have not had any better results on GPM vs. plain old airmail to Canada. I think the only "priority" you are going to get is if you use Express Mail.

However, if you ise the cardboard "pouch", you can stuff upto 4 lbs in it for $9.00.
Also there is a cardboard Global Priority box which is smaller than the small domestic 'shirt size' Priority box, which also says something about 4 lbs on it. This box is supposed to be charged by the pound but every time I've used it (and at different PO's) the clerk has charged me $12, which is both incorrect and a big savings over regular air mail for several lb. packages.

International rates are a bear to keep track of because they change weekly (as new deals are worked out between countries). Also, you have a differing number of shipping options based on country and weight. And then there are the product restrictions, prohibitions, etc.
We've been using the new USPS Webtools interface which provides real time rates to our users. See:
