Man, here I am trying to get to the beach and I go to buy.com to buy the most perfect mailer for videos: the jet-core 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 corrugated mailers. Anyhoo...buy.com emails me and tells me they're no longer selling office supplies. If anyone knows where to get these pleeeeeze let me know. I'm going to the beach anyway but please post any helpful info if you have it.

Try uline.com or vikingop.com - or maybe even eBay

Yikes I'm sick. Buy.com had THE best prices for Jet Cores. I called all over and no one came close to them. Most of the box companies charge 1 1/2 times of buy.com's price. I don't see them on Ebay either. Staples does carry them. You can check around the coupon sites and get some 20 off 100 coupon codes for Staples and free shipping.

I've never bought anything from them but
http://www.shoplet.com/ seems to have decent prices and free shipping over $50. They do carry the size you are looking for.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have not as yet come up with any prices close to buy.com but will post it if and when I do.

Well folks...looks like shoplet.com is the best for this size (style 2,8 1/2 x 10 1/2)at $58.91 for a case of 250. That's free shipping also and is about $5 more than buy.com was selling them for (also with free delivery). Everyone else was about $85 so pretty big difference.

I found another place (never used them though)--http://www.cleansweepsupply.com/pages/skugroup11941.html "says free shipping on most orders over $30)

Marlenedz-
Thanks, I just emailed them as they have a dozen CD mailers for $.79 which is extremely cheap. I'm just wondering if that's for a dozen or is just an "each" price. Anyway, will post info here when I get an answer from them tomorrow as they are closed for the day.

Please let me know. Those are super cheap if it's for 12.

I get them at http://www.schragebox.com/2-MAILERS.htm for .16/each plus shipping.

I just had exactly the same problem with buy.com. I ordered a 500 of a corrugated mailer made by Jet-Cor. The item was listed in their system as a ships in 1 to 2 days. After two weeks of calling them and emailing them because the order status constantly said "Sent to Warehouse" I kept getting completely different answers. One person said back ordered. Another person said shipped but couldn't give me a tracking number. Two others stated it was going to ship the next day. Another said that it appears to have shipped but the system hadn't updated yet and he can't retreive any shipping information.

At the two week point I finally got fed up with them and used the "cancel order" function on their order management page.

I did several searches and found http://www.cleansweepsupply.com that was mentioned above. The price was about $2 higher but the shipping was also free with them. I decided to place an order through them. I got an automated email with my order number and I waited. After three days I called them and got a woman. I asked to know the status of my order. This sounded like an imposition apparently. She kept telling me to hang on a little while longer while she brought up the information. This turned into around 5 minutes. I think she had to put batteries into the computer

After about 7 minutes she told me the item had been shipped two days before. I told her that it would have been nice to have been notified that the order had shipped. She said I got an email. I told her the only email I got was the one with the order number generated when I placed the order. She tried to tell me that was informing me that the item had been shipped. I told her that they must have an incredible shipping department since it came about 30 seconds after my order was place. I told her that it merely notified me that they had received my order. She argued with me for several minutes that the email meant it had been shipped. (A day before it had been shipped)

Their website has no order tracking information so you can't avoid this wonderful person. (I think she is the entirety of the office staff)

The next day I received a very large box and opened it up and it was my mailers. Unfortunately, two hours later I realized that it was from buy.com. These idiots shipped three days after my order was cancelled. Of course their disclaimer is that the item may ship prior to the cancellation being processed. Apparently 3 days in advance is not enough time for buy.com to cancel an order.

Two days after that I receive a call that a large box had arrive for me at an office in another city. Sure enough, cleansweepsupply.com had shipped to the wrong address. I then had to drive to that office an wrestle a large and very unruly 40 pound box into my vehicle and take it where it was supposed to be shipped in the first place.

So, the moral of the story is that both buy.com and cleansweepsupply.com are screwed up. I have 500 more mailers of a particular size than I need right now. Buy.com has no clue about anything related to their orders and cleansweepsupply will tell you the item supposedly shipped before it has.
