Would like options for any free voicemail services. I've been checking out a few after seeing some posts here about using them as phone# contact with eBaY.
The onebox service that was mentioned by several here has local numbers but no local number for my location. So anyone using another service ideally a free service with an 800# and retrieval via phone and/or computer.

It's not free but at $4.95 a month for a basic plan, eVoice.com offers a good service. You also get email, and can receive faxes. Minutes are extra but really affordable. They also have other features for making calls, sending faxes, etc. that are available. I've been really happy with them, have the $4.95 plan.

eVoice is out of business...try www.internetcallmanager.com
They start at $4.95/month and have lots of great features including a free 8-call trial period. We are still in the trial and so-far, so-good. Certainly cheaper than our phone company voice messaging.

Aaacck! I goofed, yep, I know eVoice is out of business - I did have an account with them, but what I meant to say is uReach.com - they are the ones with the terrific $4.95 voice mail plan.
