From the UK to NY? Unless it was sent express mail, yes, that sounds like a record.

I sent a "surface mail" package, Florida to Hong Kong once that only took 6 days. I thought that one was very quick for "surface".

Sent a baseball mitt Priority from Central WA to Seattle (85 miles). 30 days later - customer got full refund from USPS because item never arrived. Not a record, just annoying.
I hope they eventually deliver it - he was a sweety about the whole thing.

I mailed a payment from rural-ish southern California to a seller in Newfoundland on a Wednesday. Saturday he e-mailed that he'd received the payment and had mailed the item. I was surprized, but not as surprized as I was when the packet arrived on Tuesday.
On another occasion, I bought book from an on-line seller in Wales late on a Thursday night. It arrived on Tuesday, after making a customs stop (they opened it) in Chicago.
OTOH, today I received a plain ol'first class letter mailed from 70 miles away, postmarked 8 days ago. Whatever.

Congrats on the super efficent UK postal service! From a previous dealing, it seems the German postal system is pretty good too...

I think I might hold the record...easily!!
Not only was item transaction done in record time customer was resposible for alerting me to another unhappy customer who was sending emails to my bidders..
How do I hold the record??
Mindblowin'
Auction was ending at 10.00pm..I received an email stating what was with me?? customer said she had received a bad email about me and having a bid on one of my items she wanted to clear up up what the other evil ex customer was saying about me and feel comfortable with her upcoming bid on her item and it was her first ebay bid..What the other evil customer was saying the one that was sending the emails to my bidders(she said shed paid thru paypal and hadnt)..and got a warning from ebay then harrassed me).. First thing I did was run a check on the bidder thinking it was the mental one and harrassing me with yet more lies....discovered customer was for real and not the evil one in disguise and that she lived in the same State!! asked her to call me..she called.. I cleared up the email question from the evil one..and..reported the evil one to ebay got a copy of the email sent to me from the bidder..this was around 9.30 pm auction was closing at 10.00pm...customer kept her bid on and won bid...turns out in all of this weird weird circumstances she also not only lived in same Town but same street and also NEXT DOOR ..a young girl that had recently moved in to a rented apt, I had never seen or met her..nor did she know me or anything I do on ebay!!
Auction finished I wrapped as I would any other item and put in her mail box ( I did not charge her S&H...in fact I did not charge her for her item at all as she had alerted me to this other evil one sending emails to prospective bidders of mine..It was in her mail box at 10.20...She posted Feedback for me at 10.30pm..I returned at 10.45...Now isnt that a strange one!! blew me away...I would say that was definately the fastest transaction in auction history from sale ending to customer recieving to posting feedback....less than 1 hour....lol!!!..all goes to show we sellers do not know who or where we can be selling and to whom..whats more this triangle was going thru Ebay Worldwide..emails from CA..(the evil one bidder)..to customer in Rhode Is..and she lived next door to me...and it is all true...Marie

Registered letter. Nasville, TN to Memphis, TN. 3 hour drive. 14 days by US Postal Service.
I read a note posted at my local PO...the postmaster general has introduced a plan to shorten lines at post offices around the country....
