It just dawned on me that perhaps people who are going to make their own holiday crafts and gifts will be getting busy soon. Do any of you sellers of books and craft items find early fall to be the time to sell? I might try to pick up a few things to put on Amazon if nothing else. I recently sold a gingerbread book, but no idea if the buyer had Christmas in mind.

Hi, I sell mostly craft books, and I am starting to put my Christmas ones on this week, it takes a while to get things made, and now the children are already, or soon back in school, I am sure thoughts will turn to Christmas preparations. Last year, I left it way too late.

I posted eleven auctions for plastic canvas project booklets last week and sold every one of them--got good prices on a couple and decent prices on the rest. This week I have some crochet booklets and needlework kits up--so far bids on about 40% of them. One of these is a "lot" of simple little leaflets passed out at WalMart in 1995--a couple of Christmas projects among them--and that was one of the first items to get a bid! I think I'll list my Christmas-specific project booklets over the next couple of weeks.

Hi Keziak, I was checking the "Everything else" hobbies and such the other day, and it seems craft things are flying right now.
I have thought the same this past week, time to break out the Christmas craft stuff to list. Seems anything people can make, particularly candles and supplies are doing well.

I'm making and listing Halloween items right now, and plan on starting the Xmas items in mid-october - design work is almost done and the creation process will be next. I'm hoping to have about 5 items for Xmas like I have 5 items for Halloween - maybe a couple more if time permits it.
I also have a couple of other Xmas items I've been holding back - I'm going to put them up in the first week of November I think.
