I got the "you got cash" email from one of my buyers - but their transaction isn't showing up in my history - what's up with that? They have the right email and everything?
Paypal-adam, where are you???
Of course I'm not sending out their item until I see the money in my PayPal account!

The first and most likely problem is the buyer made a mistake on the address. Look at the email real close, are they asking you to sign up for an account to collect the funds? If your email is [email protected] and the buyer sent payment to [email protected] you'd get the notice to register with PayPal. One way around this email problem is to register both the .com and .net address (many ISPs will send email through no matter which you use.)

BTW, good idea not to send till you see it in your account, use the email notices as a signal to check your account only. Emails can be forged.

Actually I loked again and they DID send it to the ".com", rather than the ".net"! So, I emailed them and told them to cancel the transaction and send it to the right one and I'd hold on to to their item until they did. I'm pretty sure they will - since it's a concert ticket and the show is only a couple
weeks away!
I just find it strange that the email got thru to me when it wasn't the right address?

Another option is to add the .com version of your email to your Paypal - then payments made in error to that extension would still get to your account.
Another popular boo-boo is to put .com. instead of .com (note the extra period). I love $50 that way by not double checking my Paypal account before shipment (I now do that religiously before shipping - I learned my lesson).

katiyana is right about adding the .com to your account. The quickest way to correct the problem is to add the .com address to your present account, I've done it with my ISP's email since I can get the .net or .com email. As soon as you register the .com with your account you'll get the funds.

They've made a software change so if you have a . (period) on the end it won't send and you get a dialog to check the address.
