It looks like it is talking about Auction Assistant, however, I have NOT signed up for a free trial in the past. Also, on Ebay's site - the price listed for AA is 4.99 a month, but this references 9.95 a month.

Also, when I go to the link to unsubscribe - there is no where to do that - only links to subscribe!

What is this?????

----------------------------
Dear xxxxxxx,

We wanted to remind you that your free trial to Basisabonnement EBay Winkels - Hobby's en vrije tijd is scheduled to expire on Sep-01-01 and your account will begin a monthly paid subscription the following day. If you wish to continue to subscribe, DO NOTHING and we will bill your eBay account a flat fee of $9.95 per month.

Simply stated, Basisabonnement EBay Winkels - Hobby's en vrije tijd is a powerful tool that helps you sell easier and faster. You can:
* List multiple items at once instantly
* Track all of your auction activity
* Automate many time-consuming tasks

before Sep-01-01 and there will be no subscription charges to your account.

Yes, I just read mine. I think it is about Ebay Stores though. It is the only thing I can think of that is $9.95 a month.

I got one too. I don't even know how to *say* "Basisabonnement EBay Winkels - Hobby's en vrije tijd!", let alone know what it *means*!

(I do have an ebay store set up, it's been dormant since we're not quite ready to roll with it, but I did *not* sign up for "Basisabonnement EBay Winkels" whateverthuheck it means.)

I received it yesterday. It is a strange e-mail. When I put vrije tijd in Google search it brought up links to sites in the Netherlands.

This looks like we will automatically be billed $9.95 per month unless we opt out of something that we never signed up for in the first place.

I sent it over to ebay yesterday and am now waiting for an answer.

Maybe it's a glitch like the emails in German recently? I don't remember the content, but it seems to me it was a daily status report...

I didn't get one but I'd guess its from the stores.
However I believe that is waived
till OCT 1 ?

I 've been getting my daily status emails in german ? a few times over the summer. Bizarre. Never have heard from ebay why.

I'm in Michigan, USA.

Pandora this was an AuctionBytes newsflash from August 10, referring to the German Daily Status emails:

Ich Bin Ein eBayer
Several users reported to AuctionBytes.com that they had received their Daily Status emails from eBay with a little different look - the subject lines were written in German. The subject line, which read, "eBay Deutschland Auction Watch Status Ihrer Auktionen und Gebote vom: 09.08.01 10:37:33 MESZ" translates loosely into "eBay Germany Auction Watch status of your auctions and requirements of." The body of the Daily status emails were written in English. eBay spokesperson Kevin Pursglove confirmed that the problem had been reported and told AuctionBytes, "It does not appear to be a widespread problem right now. It seems to be happening sporadically. We're still trying to get a handle on it."

Evidently, the problem wasn't that sellers weren't receiving the emails in English - it was that they weren't receiving them in Dutch! Glad to see it's been taken care of!
