This does not have much to do with ebay except that one of these boys did sell and buy on-line.

This past Sunday, two young men, ages 21 and 22 were killed in a one car accident. They were traveling at a high rate of speed and missed a curve. They were also drunk. This has devastated our community as both these boys were well thought of and up and coming. Worse yet, these boys were brothers and the only children of the family. I can't imagine the pain they must be going through. I can only imagine what I would feel if both my daughters were killed.

Regardless, this puts a real perspective on life. We whine and complain (and I am including myself) about things that we feel are important, but in reality are not.

Please please sit your children down and tell them (again and again) not to drive while drinking or to get into a vehicle where the driver has been drinking. Nothing will bring these two young men back, but if one young persons life could be saved by this drastic bolt of reality, their lives would not have been in vain.

Please say a prayer for their family and tell your family how much you love them. Thank you Susan

You're absolutely right llama_lady. I live in a relatively small town and it seems like every few months there is an incident like this involving young people who drink and drive. It's a huge problem. So sorry to hear of this tragedy and what the family will have to go through.

I agree that most of us do not have our priorities straight. We take too much for granted and make big issues out of small annoyances. Something like this really puts things into perspective.

Today my son would have turned three. Instead of celebrating a birthday, we are dealing with the anniversary of his death. I have more perspective than I can handle.
But you are SO right in that very little really matters and we all blow up a lot of insignificant things.

My message for today is to really appreciate the people in your life. You don't know how much time you will have.

And not to get preachy on anyone, but please consider signing an organ donor card. Somewhere in Louisianna there is a 12 year old girl (she would be 14-15 now I guess) who recieved Dylan's heart valves. (Science/medicine is amazing!) It comforts us to know that something good came out of something so bad.

And that is all of my preaching.
Take care all.

My heart goes out to this family. I can't imagine such a loss. I have a friend that just lives down the road and 1 year ago this month she lost SEVERAL family members in an explosion. I watch her and I can't imagine such a loss. She lost all of her grandchildren (5), a daughter and son-in law, a son and daughter-in-law, and an ex husband all at the same time. From time to time when I am having a pity party about how I am un-appreciated around the house, I stop and thank the Lord that I still have my family. I will definitely say a prayer for this family.
