I thought that if an item didn't sell on ebay the first time, that you were afforded a second time at no charge, provided the item sold the second time around. That they would credit your account for the second listing fee.
1) Is this correct information?
2) Is there a time limit on how soon or how long I can wait before relising? I'm not saying 6 months down the line, but is the time limit 30 days or something like that?
3) If there is no limit, does AW pose a limit?
The reason I ask is this. I ran several auctions at the end of July. I am just now getting around to relisting those and when I highlight the square and click the relist button, they all have COPY in the status column. I KNOW for a fact that I HAVE NOT relisted these items since I haven't run any in just over a month!
Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Too early in the morning and not enough coffee. But from what I read here, if you relist the item that doesn't sell (first time) you will be charged another listing fee if it doesn't sell the second time around! Therefore out TWO listing fees?
If this is correct, how about this:
Upon the first listing ending(saying item does not sell) can you use the relist for another auction and submit a new photo, change category, new description, etc for a TOTALLY DIFFERENT item?
It appears you can do all this and at least I would want to attempt the different item (same opening price) than resubmit what didn't sell before!

Yes you can do it but ebay considers it fee avoidance and will cancel the auction if they find out.
They will probably also give you a warning.
